Mariah rest your voice sis.

 

She's going through a rough time in her life right now, and all of the criticism surrounding the one thing that she has always been praised for must be adding to her stress and thus making her voice even more strained.

 

I wonder if it's just years and years of huge, full-voice, powerful singing has taken it's toll on her chords, or if she is having problems that are more serious. I hope she can have some voice treatment work, and rest and come back with a new album and her voice back up to shape.

 

Mariah is better than this, and I feel bad for her. It's now how she deserves to be heard.

For Mariah's standarts this is bad. I never found her voice very nice but it was a fact that she had the most powerful voice in the industry and now. :koons:

First things first, check your spelling before you come for her. It's 'standards', noT 'standarts'. Secondly, it is pretty obvious that Mariah's voice has always been inconsistent. People keep saying that voice is declining since 1997, but her voice sounded like her prime during 2001-2004 :koons:

This one is worst compared to the one posted by the OP, and it was last year.

The thing is, Gaga's performance doesn't require LOADS of acrobatic vocals. While Mariah needs to go into her head voice and chest voice constantly. So basically Gaga's live feed would sound a lot better. If Mariah's one doesn't require acrobatic vocals, she would've slayed most of the other performers who actually pre-taped their performances for dubbing.

It is pretty obvious that I would defend her. Her GREAT vocal moments has always been out of the radar. But when she messes up a little, the media would pick it up and it would spread like wildfire. Remember the controversy that she lost her voice during her first concert in Japan back in October ?? She slayed everyone by the time she performed in New Zealand, but it went out of radar.
