Whispering 18,865
My point would still stand. Theres people who say the n word and theres people who are active racists in society, and they aren't necessarily the same. And Azealia does see a psychiatrist. Is she off her meds? Does she have bipolar disorder with psychotic episodes? (I'm not kidding or shading here, I'm really wondering.) Your point doesn't stand, not in this society at the current time. You can agree with her, but it doesn't mean that it is right by today's standards in current society or that the majority of members in that group will agree with you. iloveit123 130
Azealia in that interview is like "you don't even know where language came from" and words don't matter (except the N word said by certain people, I am sure) Get the F*** outta here you dumbass. But talking about hair or nails or being called a b---h isn't the same as calling someone a ******* Like hair and nails and being a b---h are aesthetic and attitude insults, ******* isn't the same as those Yes, this is another point. Not that it is always a good thing to say, but the context is SOOO much different.

Willy Wonka 4
this is such a good discussion i'm having with myself about this. this is such an interesting topic and one she's brought up again and again and again and again. and it never gets old. Azealia in that interview is like "you don't even know where language came from" and words don't matter (except the N word said by certain people, I am sure) Get the F*** outta here you dumbass. DrewStevens 5,249
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN93YnIsDNg @2:00 Ok I was wrong but this is more embarrassing. She justifies the use of a racial derogatory term with her ignorance. The fact that she said "who cares?" only shows how uneducated she is. Some people care just like she cared enough to complain about Iggy Azalea calling herself a runway slave-master and gay men being misogynist. The consistency in her moral values is just non existent. SlayedForTheGod 665
I cant at people defending her. Let's not use the word b---h out of respect for other females. shes acting like an a**hole. is that better? its like damn you finally get some positive word of mouth and you ruin it. and if you are a "Gay" and are alright with her calling you that then smh. Pop 4,541
Um and black people who burned, tarred and feathered, and hung from trees....and you can trace incidents to not even 100 years ago. Its not the same. It's not the same, but it's both horrifying. I was not excusing the word of the N-word, but you were the one excusing the use of the F-word. Meditate on that and come back to me when you figure it out, sis. The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT

Willy Wonka 4
But talking about hair or nails or being called a b---h isn't the same as calling someone a ******* Like hair and nails and being a b---h are aesthetic and attitude insults, ******* isn't the same as those Her point, and she's made this point several times, is that there's a caste system of words that she doesn't believe it. She can use the N word a hundred times in her songs and no one bats an eye. She uses the F word and GLAAD is knocking at her door. There are tons of articles about the fact that many gays feel a sense of entitlement over women's bodies and a sense of entitlement to critique it. This is rarely challenged or questioned, but the second someone comes at them, they victimize themselves. It's clear in Perez's actions. He's one of the most vindictive, cruel, misogynistic gay men online. He insults and degrades women every single day. People don't even bother to say anything about his words and actions anymore. She gets in a fight and calls him the F word, and suddenly people are jumping at her throat. There's an arbitrary set of social rules regarding language that she just doesn't believe in and doesn't prescribe to. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with her, but that's how I read her. And she's made this exact argument dozens of times before.

And I mentioned she said words don't matter, but she has railed in the past about certain people using the N word as not being Ok. I don't think anyone should use the N word to be honest. But my point is, it contradicts what she is saying about language, when she herself HAS been offended. She has been offended by a lot of things. I don't know what else you are referring to, it is not an assumption, it is based on what she has said herself. I don't even know why I am trying to a--lyze this idiot Azealia's words. Honestly, she is like a child with a computer or smart phone... especially after hearing her talk in that interview.
Pop 4,541
OMG, I've never watched an interview with her before (seeing the one above)... she sounds like SUCH an idiot. It all makes so much more sense now. Yeah, she isn't very intelligent. The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
Battle 4 Ur Life 6,348
i'm criticizing her on this too, but this is such a stupid and uneducated comment research before you talk go try again what? you mean hers, right? SissyFromSpace 20,883
eek. All the LGBT news pages I'm following/'liked' on FB are posting about her nasty behavior. The comments are really the pits and she's getting skull dragged. Guess the LGBT community is over her for good. She should choose better wording next time. "who cares" is not often a literal question but rather a statement that the person who is talking doesnt care. she doesnt prescribe to the social value given to "bad" words. to try and equate that with her feelings about sentiments and actions of others is a false comparison. she has no issue with language and has never beefed OVER language. that's all she's ever said. she is pretty consistent in her moral values. if i'm being blunt, you're just interpreting her incorrectly. and once again, i'm not even defending her, because i don't particularly agree, i just think you're way off on this.
