First of all, thank you for your response, but you got me all wrong about the indifference/accepting thing. In no way am I trying to justify the behavior of Russian people who pay no attention to this whole violent movement against the establishment of lgbt community in Russia. I just wanted to point out that this cruelty in no way differs from the United States, where even nowadays there are plenty organizations there which claim to be 'religious' or 'semi-religious' with the 'GOD HATES FA**S' campaigns, gay converters and all this bullsh**. It is just that people in the United States stand bravely and openly against them, while Russian people neither endorse nor condemn it.

Secondly, on China. I suppose you've heard about the new course which their government has proclaimed? They are now trying to switch from the export growth model, when they were heavily reliable on the USA/Europe purchasing powers, to the inner consumption growth model, when they are trying to foster the purchasing power among its 1.357 billion population. So their ties with the western world, although still strong, will see some change in the future. Also, if you pay attention to the UN news, you know that China rarely votes together with UK, USA and France on the resolution in the Security Council. It either doesn't vote at all or backs Russia's side.

You are welcome, its good to have an educated conversation with someone who doesn't fly off the handle because another point of view is presented.

United States and Russia differ emensly when it comes to LGBT rights. US laws alone surpass Russia by decades regarding protection and equality of lgbt people. US also allow Free speech which allow's hate groups to exists but Free speech is also a key component to why LGBT community continues to achieve more and more freedom and rights. Also US might have some flaws when it comes to their law making but they are always open to change and in no way would the government even a Republican allow or pass a law allowing the physical harm on anyone gay by law enforcement or citizen alike.

I always new China would have to rely on their own population for buying power ever since they have become more western. Their wages have gone up and their standard of living has also risen. Many of their factories have moved to the outskirts of China in hopes to keep wages low and maintain the low prices which drives the world to China to buy and make products. Now that there are other countries like Bangladesh and Cambodia where there is LDC which means no No Duty for lesser developed countries and china has 18% duty it is clear which choice is cheaper. China however does still need to rely on the rest of the world for natural resources and their economy regardless will always look to the West and Europe to buy their products. Their largest corporations reply to heavily on Western and European consumers and will do so for decades. I was not aware the China still votes against UK and US this is shocking considering how close they are with the US UK and Canada. However I am sure if push came to shove China would not support Russia in a war, at the very least they will stay out of it.
