I feel like she knows she's not huge like she once was, and releasing this piece of information would get her additional press. Idk, I do sympathize with her, but part of this just feels ingenuine to me. I'm just sick of her playing the victim card all the time....one minute she was bullied by everyone, then she was addicted to d--gs, then she's "addicted" to pot, then she's severely depressed, and now she's saying she was s-xually abused. It's just like, you're bigger and stronger than these things. I want her to just stop with all the victimization stuff and just be the bold b*tch that she is. Absolutely disgusting and as I said earlier in this thread, you should all be ashamed of yourselves for brushing this off as something she's doing for attention. If you don't, you should really just sit down and STFU. I cried with and comforted my distraught best friend the night her rapist was arrested. I personally know more then one individual who has been the victim of rape and molestation. I should not have to share the nature of my relationship with rape for my opinions on the subject to have credence. Having said that, feel fee to take your own advice, sit down and shut the **** up. Every comment by you, whether it's about her clothes or serious topics like this one, it's always so damn negative and cringeworthy. It didn't occur to you that all those things are connected? Being bullied, having older men taking advantage of you, your ex bf treating you like ****, loneliness on the road etc. can lead to depression and d--gs & alcohol abuse? Autotune is paint by numbers. I might actually like the results of some paint by numbers artist but I won't respect them as an artist. They will also never produce original work because they lack the ability to paint without someone else showing them where. And why should we assume that if an artist who receives guidance, they are not putting an effort to sing/learn to sing? And similarly why should we assume that artist is able to grow independent of the guidance receive atm? Why do we consider something calculated or planned well no longer art? Yet so many of us champion Millie as an artist because art can be in many different forms (in this case vomit). So why can't it be in the form of something planned/calculated well if they evoke the same emotional response from the audience? I think there is an arbitrary bias against man-made V natural product. And I would expect you to tell me natural is better because it is natural. Great argument. Like LG said once, you can never start from a vacuum. The inspiration has to come from somewhere. I know Gaga can exaggerate, I wouldn't be a fan without realizing that but I just don't think she would lie about being raped. It sounds like something I've heard from another fanbase, not from someone that stated they've been a fan for six years. I've also been following her career the past six years and she's always talked about being s-xual abused. She's never directly said I was raped before but if you can read between the lines in her videos, musics, and her interviews it implied what's she gone through. When I heard her say this it didn't come as a shock to me because she's always said it but just not in this way. Yeah, she's hinted at this kind of stuff for years now. I agree with you, Stefani. There certainly is an amount of theater to Gaga, and she certainly does play up some things for interviews. However, I don't think this is one of those times.
