These are far from truth. Palestinians, like in most of the Muslim world, are still denying gay rights, and that's exactly what Lego is saying Israel uses for security missions. War is ugly, but nothing was to happen if they ever laid down their weapons.

To gain fans and support. 43 percent of Israelis believe homos-xuality is morally unacceptable and 30,5 percent of Israeli Jews would be bothered by having a homos-xual couple as neighbors, including 68.4 percent of ultra-Orthodox and 48.4 percent of religious Zionist Jews. Gay marriage is illegal.

You cannot brag about gay rights or human rights when Israeli army is persecuting, spying, blackmailing, harassing people who are gay and Palestinian.

When Amnesty International has accused Israel of war crimes and various human rights organizations speak about crimes against humanity, when UN is preparing investigation on Israeli war crimes, when South African activist groups are recognizing racism and apartheid in Israeli state, when EU is preparing sanctions and more countries are voting for recognizing Palestine, when more Israeli soldiers are coming out with the stories like the one above - you cannot put human rights (or "the only civilised") and Israel in the same sentence and be serious about it.

West bank?! What are we seeing there now? Settlers with weapons and stones with army support? Home demolitions and constant expansion of illegal settlements? In Gaza we see the result of Israeli oppression, siege and decades of massacres.

Having a walk with few hundred people with heavy security and fear of attacks(like the stabbings in Jerusalem) is not exactly safe haven for gays as Israel tries to promotes itself. Religious antigay Jews are not exactly powerless in Israel.

And again, after repeated violations of human rights, Zionists and proZionists should stop with cheap propaganda only to gather supporters for their agenda.

This is returning back to the tit-for-tat style arguments though. Assuming this picture is truthful, "gay rights" are a huge spectrum from to top tier entire/almost entire equality such as in the Netherlands/Sweden/UK (presumably anyway) to countries just below that  Israel/Ireland/Germany etc to simply the decriminalisation of gay s-x. I didn't claim that any Arab country was a gay haven and obviously being gay myself, I wouldn't want to live in any of those countries. for that reason. 

 

In other words, if I went on a tangent - I made the point that some other parts of the Middle East do have some gay rights, just not to the extent of Israel obviously.

From what I know Gaza is not in the West Bank, stay on topic. Don't talk about settelments being an obstacle for peace when Israel withdraw from Gaza and got a Hamas-Terror-Controlled land. That's just tragic Palestinians cannot even live in peace with themselves.

I totally get what you're saying. Just wanted to point it out that even if there isn't any official decriminalisation of gay s-x in places like Palestine, the society still won't let gays live freely. Many Palestinian gays are seeking a shelter in Israel from their families.
