Dolev 867
Israeli army's gay soldiers must stop persecuting gay Palestinians http://www.haaretz.com/mobile/.premium-1.617280 If you're homos-xual and know someone who knows a wanted person and we need to know about it-Israel will make your life miserable. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/exisraeli-intelligence-unit-refuse-to-harm-innocent-palestinians-9729240.html Israel surveils and blackmails gay Palestinians to make them informants http://mondoweiss.net/2014/09/blackmails-palestinian-informants "The notion of rights for Palestinians does not exist at all. Not even as an idea to be disregarded. Any Palestinian may be targeted and may suffer from sanctions such as the denial of permits, harassment, extortion, or even direct physical injury. Such instances might occur if the individual is of any interest to the system for any reason. Be it indirect relations with hostile individuals, physical proximity to intelligence targets, or connections to topics that interest 8200 as a technological unit. Any information that might enable extortion of an individual is considered relevant information. Whether said individual is of a certain s-xual orientation, cheating on his wife, or in need of treatment in Israel or the West Bank – he is a target for blackmail." http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/12/israeli-intelligence-unit-testimonies Wow. Looks who's here. Such a surprise you decided to blame Israel for the Palestinian homophobia. Dolev 867
But Lego is LITERALLY stating facts. With sources... about how Palestine is becoming more open. #ByeFelicia These are far from truth. Palestinians, like in most of the Muslim world, are still denying gay rights, and that's exactly what Lego is saying Israel uses for security missions. War is ugly, but nothing was to happen if they ever laid down their weapons.

War is ugly, but nothing was to happen if they ever laid down their weapons. In other words, just let us kill you without resisting and give us the rest of the land? How about Israel disarms itself and their violent settlers and remove illegal settlements? Israel is advertising itself in the West as center of gays in ME, when in reality it's just Tel Aviv, one city. One hour from there, in their "capital" Jerusalem is a different story. Ashdod, same. It's the same shtick Katy Perry used when she pretended that she kissed a girl. To gain fans and support. 43 percent of Israelis believe homos-xuality is morally unacceptable and 30,5 percent of Israeli Jews would be bothered by having a homos-xual couple as neighbors, including 68.4 percent of ultra-Orthodox and 48.4 percent of religious Zionist Jews. Gay marriage is illegal. You cannot brag about gay rights or human rights when Israeli army is persecuting, spying, blackmailing, harassing people who are gay and Palestinian. When Amnesty International has accused Israel of war crimes and various human rights organizations speak about crimes against humanity, when UN is preparing investigation on Israeli war crimes, when South African activist groups are recognizing racism and apartheid in Israeli state, when EU is preparing sanctions and more countries are voting for recognizing Palestine, when more Israeli soldiers are coming out with the stories like the one above - you cannot put human rights (or "the only civilised") and Israel in the same sentence and be serious about it. And this garnite's post sums it all up but gay rights hmm gay rights they can go to gay bars in israel what the heck else do you want hmm, hmm? EXCXSXE 0
LOL why somebody post Palestinian x Israel drama in this thread? Totally off topic. Israel did good with this decision. Agreed. But you cannot make a thread on this forum about either Israel or Palestine without proponents of both sides flooding it with articles that discredit the other. Rules of the internet. Call me when Arab cities will held such events. West bank?! What are we seeing there now? Settlers with weapons and stones with army support? Home demolitions and constant expansion of illegal settlements? In Gaza we see the result of Israeli oppression, siege and decades of massacres. Having a walk with few hundred people with heavy security and fear of attacks(like the stabbings in Jerusalem) is not exactly safe haven for gays as Israel tries to promotes itself. Religious antigay Jews are not exactly powerless in Israel. And again, after repeated violations of human rights, Zionists and proZionists should stop with cheap propaganda only to gather supporters for their agenda. "This year’s Equality Forum conference, which is partnered with the Israeli Embassy in Washington and the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, is a flagrant form of Pinkwashing – appropriation of queer voices from Israel and Palestine and the gay rights struggle to distract from and normalize the numerous human rights and international law violations and the colonial and apartheid policies that the Israeli State has established on the ground," http://www.haaretz.com/mobile/lgbt-rights-in-israel-pinkwashing-oppression-of-palestinians-or-illuminating-the-middle-east-1.428480 FreePalestine
hmm 979
This is returning back to the tit-for-tat style arguments though. Assuming this picture is truthful, "gay rights" are a huge spectrum from to top tier entire/almost entire equality such as in the Netherlands/Sweden/UK (presumably anyway) to countries just below that Israel/Ireland/Germany etc to simply the decriminalisation of gay s-x. I didn't claim that any Arab country was a gay haven and obviously being gay myself, I wouldn't want to live in any of those countries. for that reason. In other words, if I went on a tangent - I made the point that some other parts of the Middle East do have some gay rights, just not to the extent of Israel obviously. Don't talk about settelments being an obstacle for peace when Israel withdraw from Gaza and got a Hamas-Terror-Controlled land. That's just tragic Palestinians cannot even live in peace with themselves. The IDF is one of the top 10 LGBT-friendly armies in the world. http://projects.hcss.nl/monitor/88/ Stay pressed

I totally get what you're saying. Just wanted to point it out that even if there isn't any official decriminalisation of gay s-x in places like Palestine, the society still won't let gays live freely. Many Palestinian gays are seeking a shelter in Israel from their families.
