despite a slowdown in mining and a slowdown in the general economy as a result of slowing Asia, Australia still has the best over-all economic health of all the major developed Nations such as the G20 (excluding small Nations such as Norway or Switzerland)

 

Their debt to GDP Ratio is in the mid 20% range. Thats even lower than Canadas highly acclaimed 31% of GDP

 

Australia is also the only major Nation besides Canada and Germany to have a tripple AAA rating from all 3 major ranking agencies

 

Unemployment remains below 6%, wages are decent... and the Central bank has been able to keep main rate at 2.5% not dropping all the way down to 0% like many Nations to keep the economy going.
