Sweden one of many victims of borderline deflation has just cut its rates from 0.25% to 0.00%

The Central Bank of Sweden is the latest to drop rates all the way to the bottom of 0% joining the ranks of Switzerland, USA, Japan and EU that all have rates at or virtually 0%

Sweden claims the economy is muddlig along ok and insists the rates are meant only to try to raise inflation

Not sure if this is good or bad.

if u have to lower rates all the way to the lowest possible point (0%) its never a good thing. Actually, Europe has put the secondary deposit rate (which also influences market rates) below 0% at a negative just to show the desperation :toofunny:

My Country Canada has it higher than most Developed Nations and its only at 1%. Shows how hard were trying to fight a weak and slack economy

During normal times the Central bank has the main rates usually at least at 3% if not higher :coffee:
