The moments when she didn't try to convince us she is pissed about something were truly amazing, but most of it was kind of forced and not great.

does anyone else find it ironic that the song is by a group called 4 None Blondes and she has a blonde wig on while singing it?  :awesome:

Why is she screaming?

That was so messy and forced.

Cause it's artRAVE. It's not a PBS jazz special

There's a difference between belting and screaming/yelling lyrics.

:ohno: Yeah... pretty much this. Her voice is so clear and amazing and flawless annd versatile- I really wish she would use the growl in moderation. Like at the beginning of a word here and there, not for entire phrases and sentences. It is not sonically palatable to me.

The places where she just sang, and switched back and forth into her upper register were perfection. I just think she is using the growl excessively. It sounds painful to her vocal chords and my ears.

I don't intend to offend as I highly praised some things- that sound is not for me is all.
