This sucks... It just seems that mankind's pursuit in space has dragged to a crawl due to the risk and cost. I hope this doesn't set Virgin back. I hope they get more support. This is tragic and loss of life is terrible but that is the risk of a test flight. So much for this experimental engine...

On CNN they were saying they might not be able to do this again until 10 years from now. This is the only spacecraft they had and a second one is only 25% done and of course this accident will probably drive investors away and even customers.

Well, it's just disappointing. Back in the 1950s and 1960s, it seemed major strides were made in space travel technology. However, it just seems we've reached our limits in government sponsored and commercial endeavors in recent years. We send probes to the far corners of our solar system, we send satellites to orbit the Earth, telescopes to observe the stars and ourselves, and we have modernized the use of drones and UAVs. However, where do we go from here?

Virgin Galactic sort of garnered that excitement of sending people in space again, but now it's all set back...

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
