Spock 20,290
I hope Wildest Dreams becomes a single.. What are the chances of that happening? I think SIO Blank Space Style and Bad Blood will be singles Maybe Out Of The Woods but that was a promo single so who knows.. Blank Space is the next single :) I don't know about WD. I think it's an early fan favorite (I don't like it that much tbh) but some songs like Style, Bad Blood and HYGTG are the more obvious choices imo who will love me when the night is over
CHANTEL 2
Blank Space is the next single :) I don't know about WD. I think it's an early fan favorite (I don't like it that much tbh) but some songs like Style, Bad Blood and HYGTG are the more obvious choices imo HYGTG better not come close to being a single, it's basically the lowest point on the whole album tbh WD better be the third single with a Grammy awards performance You should know that one phrase that was obviously meant to have some humor to it does not represent Gaga as a lyricist, and we all know Gaga is perfectly capable of writing phenomenal lyrics. I could easily say that "Welcome to New York (x3) It's been waiting for you" isn't exactly an amazing chorus, but that's obviously an unfair representation of Taylor, because she has far better lyrics as well. Taylor is a fantastic songwriter, but acting like she's miles ahead is seriously discrediting Gags. I don't blame you for being defensive though, there have been some pretty nasty comments made toward her. Anyway, good for her if she breaks the record! Well at least you brought in a good explanation of your point of view. If there's one post that's been contradicting me that'd I'd be agreeing on next it would be yours

It's a cute pop bop. I haven't found a low point yet because I'm still in that omg all tracks are amazing mode. Some do stand out though New Romantics better be a single who will love me when the night is over

Whispering 18,865
I agree with that ! But general public can leave you in six months With three million seller debuts over the last six years, I would say she isn't too worried. lol Seriously though, Taylor also has an extremely strong fanbase. Have you ever noticed that she wins every award that is fan voted? There are tons of (mostly) girls that have grown up right along with Taylor. Her songs are the soundtrack to their lives. She continues to pull in the young set, year after year, because her songs manage to be relatable for the young teen group and older teens/college age- era after era. Another plus- they are very positive and supportive- not a bunch of whiny, unhappy, insecure drama queens. Taylor's fanbase isn't basing their self-worth on how she performs on the charts or how many hit singles she does or doesn't get- they are just enjoying the music and being a fan! It's a different mindset and one that makes for a happier, more content fanbase and will continue to serve Taylor well as she moves forward in her career. I agree.I am actually a big swiftie..I am just saying that general public can easily forget you when you are not anymore "cool".It's true though. At the moment Taylor is on top. I am happy because she is a good songwriter and a good person :)

It's painful to read all of this, especially as a Taylor (and Gaga) fan !
Whispering 18,865
I'm dying to know this as well. You could always ask them, since you are dying to know. There are 1.3 million to choose from this week (just in the US) . :) ;)

I am happy because she is a good songwriter and a good person :) But Taylor has always been on top though. She hasn't been everywhere for months because she's promoting the album now, but she has had 3 incredibly successful album cycles and sell out tours. All of this to rave reviews. So she has always been on top, just not on the spotlight who will love me when the night is over

Whispering 18,865
What do you like about 1989? :reductive: Haven't bought it yet. It's been a hectic week and I haven't made it to Target, and that's where I want to buy it from. I'm more of a casual fan anyhow and I have several new albums I just bought in the past couple of months I'm still listening to and digesting, so I'm in no hurry. :) So far, I like all the songs that I've heard, but if you want a complete review from people who have already purchased the album and listened to it all the way through several times, you will need to ask someone else in this thread. Sorry. I will get back to you in a month, or so.

So she has always been on top, just not on the spotlight exactly. Doesn't mean someone isn't being talked about right now, that he/she is no longer the top pop star.
