Cody Draco 2,531
Tbh :madge: She's managed to capture the essence of Pop music without it being fickle -- resulting in non-fickle stans and fans a like Have you ever heard Shake It Off? It's Shake Your Tailfeather 2.0. :madge: I used to like Taylor, but she has lost almost all of my respect this era.
One Five Ten 70
The combination of the Swiftstakes, Polaroids, booklet and overall quality of the physical copy of 1989 can't hurt, too. I'm even considering buying a copy because of the quality of the music on it. Best pop album since Beyoncé, easily.

Ladey Gagz 2,512
I don't think this is trueI went to a pirating site today to see the downloads (don't judge I'm buying it later :koons: ) and the downloads were the highest I've seen on an album... it was incredible how many it had in less than a daySo I think it's just that she appeals to a wider audience
Spock 20,290
Taylor Swift is EXTREMELY irrelevant in terms of sales in Europe. Most people don't even know her here, but she is HUGE in the US and Canada, that's a fact, no doubt. Here comes the local argument, yet again who will love me when the night is over
FATCAT 59,049
I see the point you're trying to make, but the majority of internet users don't know how to pirate full albums, so age has nothing to do with her sales. Personally I don't like Taylor, but she promotes very well. I can't be free if my hands are tied... 🧟♀️👰🏻
Computer 10,973
I honestly tried to download 1989 but I couldn't figure it out. I might have to buy it. And isohunt is apparently gone. 💚💛💕❣⭕💢💢 | ⓜⓔⓡⓡⓨ ©ⓗⓡⓘⓢⓣⓜⓐⓢ
craig 680
Taylor slays because she appeals to a wide audience and her business decisions are on point. She's a little vanilla for my taste, but she not only knows she's vanilla, she proudly owns it, rocks it and pretty much does everything about that vanilla right. Wide audience? Her success is targeting a narrow audience of conventional young white women, and doing it very well. She doesn't try for gays, or hipsters, or old people into jazz. Her boyfriend bashing songs don't appeal to guys either. Taylor is for the high school girls who didn't understand Gaga and bullied her. Gaga is too weird to "taylor" her songs and image for that demo.
Guest
That's what I was trying to get at when I wrote the thread. A huge factor for the sales has to be parents and their children. All these people are saying that young fans could pirate her music but I don't see my ten year old niece using a Youtube to MP3 converter, you know?Exactly
Paper Gangsta 6,693
Real fans who want to support...will buy the album. Shady haters or casual listeners will pirate... Or teenagers who want their parents spend money on something they actually need

It's Shake Your Tailfeather 2.0. :madge: I used to like Taylor, but she has lost almost all of my respect this era. I meant the marketing of her entire discography...not this specific album or any song :megaflop: I hate Shake it Off too :madge: 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
