I can't say Gaga and the people involved in that room knew it sounded like that, or maybe were inspired by it, who knows. I don't think so, but back when The Fame Monster was about to get released, we got two songs, Alejandro and Dance In The Dark. The first time I listened to Dance In The Dark there was a part there that I said "Wow.. Vogue", the naming and all that, then I listened to Alejandro and though "It kind of sounds like La Isla Bonita, ABBA and Ace of Base". Gaga gets inspired by so many artists and she has said it herself, but sometimes the inspiration is placed on the music and you can tell by that just by listening to it. Who knows if she wanted Born This Way to sound like that, becuase as far as we know, the song went through so many transformations, and maybe it was an accident that it ended up sounding like that. Just wanna add that I did not hear any EY in Born This Way and this happened long before I became a fan of Gaga. So you hear something and I don't so what does that prove really? I think some people here need a reality check. Not Gaga. But other younger artists Based on the recent history with Gaga, i think the most 'prominent' artist she could possibly be talking about here is Gaga, she's feeling constricted that Gaga might replace her and using her well known bad attitude to gain attention, it wouldn't be as impactful if it where about any other artist in the industry because they don't have the history or background regarding madonna that Gaga does. Madonna feels threatened by Gaga, but doesn't see the other pop girls as a threat even though a lot of them are poor imitations of Gaga herself (at times). It's high time someone had the guts to stand up to Madonna and her manipulative ways. I hope Gaga never becomes bitter and resentful of any future artists, especially if they seem to be inspired by her. Like she says, I'm sure she'd become more of a mentor than a mean girl.
