Stop it, stop shoving Jesus on people that do not agree with you. I am born Christian - Catholic, but I don't believe in Jesus. Yes, I don't go on hating on Christianity or people that do believe in it, just like you shouldn't shove Jesus down our throats just because we don't share some values and beliefs. He basically told these bishops to their face that their stance on homos-xuality is cowardly and hostile. Today Pope Francis said this in a sermon, "God is not afraid of new things. That is why he is continuously surprising us, opening our hearts and guiding us in unexpected ways." That sums up how I feel with stuff like this. If you're going to completely rework how you view and apply your religion to continue to fit in with society, why not just drop the whole thing completely? For some reason I wasn't able to find Economys post but I will write it here. When you look at the bible you see that Jesus kind of modernized Judaism. It's really not that hard, and they're making it out to be some huge debate and struggle smh Besides, that bible quote about gays shouldnt even be relevant to Christians as it's in the old testament. Wasn't Jesus supposed to come and fulfill the prophecy so they wouldn't have to follow those old rules anymore? But I guess any excuse to be homophobic is cool for the catholic church. They're more interested in following what old white men say than actually examining their religious texts. What an embarrassment.well they believe in the bible and it fully is against the acts of homos-xuality. So of course they debate it. Secondly Its not just in the mosaic law.
