I just saw her perform a few nights ago, and I think she's an amazing performer, and her songs are totally embedded in my head. She's super catchy, and gorgeous and adorable.. she's got a great voice. and I think she's gonna blow up, personally. And I don't think she sounds anything like Lorde. Banks is R&B. she reminds me more of Fiona Apple. Music this year sucked for the most part. Only in the world of mainstream pop music, my dear. I could rattle off a dozen or more exceptional albums that got released this year from underground artists. If you could have heard late 90s/early 2000s you kids wouldn't be whining about top 40 music right now. We're in a better place for the most part. We just need a new musical trend or a reinvention of the current trends. Even Fireball is a good song. People just b---h, because it is Pitbull. tokyodisko 0 Posted October 19, 2014 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Late 2011 and 2012 were horrible too, only Marina and The diamonds was good ando she dissapeared. :( We need rhianna or gaga to save pop music again, (even Avril,Nelly, fergie gwen and hilary failed hard) Idk whats going on Gwen's song literally just came out. She's on one of the biggest shows and hasn't even started promo or released a video. It's not her best, but it's catchy and really grows on you. It's got a bit more of a unique sound than a lot of stuff. I feel like her album could be a big trend setter if she has some more LAMB-esque pop on the album.
