I do wonder who she's counting as on that "team". Troy Carter, we know. But what about Vincent Herbert? I remember when she visited him in the hospital...

Wow. I hope Vincent showed up because she is (or was) really good friends with him and Tamar. She's part of the reason why they live the lifestyle that they live...

& like you said, she visited him! :wtf:

From the sound of it though, I don't think he was there.. :(

It's science, bitch

Wow that's sad :(

What was GGD like during the hip injury? :gum:

We don't talk about that. :smh:
Nod if you wanna make love with the enemy. ❤

Breaks my heart tbh. She works her ass off, keeps pushing herself to be better, does everything she possibly can, yet her team takes her for granted and so do (some of) her fans. She deserves better, I'm glad she has Taylor and Bobby at her side now. She seems truly invincible now.

:legend:

For the most part people were sad and supportive but theres always that bunch who's pressed because they didnt get what they wanted. Either it was because she canceled their BTWB date or because ARTPOP was definitely gonna be postponed.

Like, I feel no matter what, the overlying tone in the fan base is that she "needs to get her **** together." "She needs to put out another pop album asap." "She needs to slay with the next one cause this is her last chance~~" "She needs to ____," etc.

Some of her fans treat her like a cow too.

:blood:  And if one album doesn't sound like what they expected, or sell as many copies as they expected, it gets harped on for months to come.

MTE. There's a reason why she stopped lurking on GGD for a while, a lot of people in this fanbase were just as unsupportive as her management and record label, they only cared about "Where's the next single?", "Where's the DWUW video?", "Where's the promo??".

But yeah, thankfully some of us do support her through thick and thin

They were like that because we basiclly got nothing. This information would have been grand a year ago.

I can't be free if my hands are tied... 🧟‍♀️👰🏻

But she didn't owe us any of this information, and lacking updates doesn't justify say some of the things that were said about her at a time when she was trying to recover. Just because she's close to her fans doesn't mean she has to give out all the details of her personal life, especially during tough situations. Sure, some updates would have been nice, but she should be entitled to some privacy when she feels that she needs it.

her team means also the dancers?

I doubt it... She still seems just as close to her dancers & other Haus members

Pretty sure some of her dancers/starlight/tara/her best friend from Korea, old friends were there.

Taylor rolled her around as well. Her parents were there.

Just job-wise her management and the label didn't stop by thus the feeling like a cow remark. And quite frankly, my colleagues wouldn't come to the hospital if I was there either. This is just a remark about how the industry is. She's attacking them quite often lately. Think she wants out.

I think she personally/socially was in good hands though.

I think she meant they weren't there for here as in they were unsympathetic towards her, not as in physically going to see her in the hospital or anything. I'm sure they were more annoyed at the hip injury than concerned, which is disgusting. It's upsetting to hear that she was treated like damaged goods because everyone was focused on their expanding their bank accounts.

I just hope she finds a way to keep herself happy and protect her creativity. Artists shouldn't ever feel like they have to live to please people or make their decisions based on profits alone. Sadly, the industry is far too financially-driven, there's not enough focus on art and authenticity.

Yes, I'm sure looking at GGD during December 2013/January/February this year really made her feel like she still had her fan base. Shady threads left and right.

Seriously, though, many of us are here for her. Through thick and thin. Just hoping that she's happy.

We going to boo

That's the idea I got as well, although not physically visiting her may have possibly been a contributing factor.

:blood:  And if one album doesn't sound like what they expected, or sell as many copies as they expected, it gets harped on for months to come.

And the one that ****s me is "I hope she learned her lesson." I can't tell you how many times I've read that on here since 2011. Lesson for what? So that next time, instead of following her artistic vision -- whether it be good or bad -- she should rely on industry people to tell her what's good and what will sell? I thought most of us were here because we valued her independence and her drive to drive this ship herself. But, in the past 10 months, I've realized what people hunger for is a marketing machine. They hunger for the image she portrayed in 2008/2009, which is a s-xy blonde with radio-friendly songs with massive success, because it made it okay to like Gaga. Because "who doesn't like Gaga?" was a common thing people would say. When I think about it, it makes sense. But, on the other hand, she will never be able to do that and be completely as peace with herself. It was fine then because she had a completely different mindset. She wanted fame and once she found it, she realized life wasn't about being #1 all the time. It was about making her fans happy.

The dilemma is that her fans are only happy when she's that marketing machine. Promo promo promo...
