Do you care for Gaga to have a smash on her new album? (or don't care)

I just want good music and for all her artistic vision/performances to pan out for the era

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

I don't care for smashes and what not, if she gets one then great!

I'd rather just like the music we get over how much it sells.

No. I've come to a point that I'm already fine with whatever happens to the career of Gaga. She has achieved one massive success in 2009-2011 that could only be compared to the early years of Britney Spears (1999-2001). That alone is enough. She has established herself as an icon with 4 global smashes and record sales surpassing more than 100 million. Whether her next album sells just a million or one hundred thousand worldwide, she's already among the world's best-selling artists of all time. So yeah, I don't care anymore. She can 'flop' anytime, and I'd still be here for her music.

Personally, I don't care.  But if would make Gaga happy, then yes I would want it to smash.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Smash on her terms with music she cares about sure. Pandering to the GP and nostalgic fans for a smash, no.

people who claim that ARTPOP didn't end because of the lack of immense sales and smash hits are somewhat deluded. I mean I get it she was depressed but I believe this is exactly because of this so called flop. and to bring up troy as a reason is also false because you guys keep saying that gaga has full control of her career., a change  of management wouldn't cause the disaster of an era if that was true. so stop accusing other artists for relying to their managers for a more successful career because gaga does the exact same thing. the only one who is probably above their management is beyonce but she has a LOT of experts assisting her and basically doing all the job.

Yes, Lady Gaga is a larger than life pop star and that's a major part of the fantasy she creates. The eras are much more fun for both her and the fans when she's doing well.

I genuinely couldn't care less. The notion that she needs a smash hit to revitalize her career is ridiculous to me. Whatever troubles she had during the ARTPOP era are in the past now, and she seems to be back on track. That being said, a hit wouldn't be a bad thing... as long as it's the music she wants to make.

A-yo, A-yo..... We smokin' em all
