GrandchildDavid 14 Posted October 9, 2014 Share Posted October 9, 2014 A 26-year-old woman was slashed in the neck by a man after she ignored his attempt at conversation. According to police, the victim was inside the lobby of an apartment building on 171st Street in Jamaica around 5:15 a.m. last Wednesday when the man approached her and "engaged her in unwanted conversation." When she ignored him, the suspect grabbed her from behind and slashed her neck with some kind of blade. This comes after reports that a man shot and killed a woman and wounded five others after the woman refused to give him her phone number in Detroit. The Daily Show also tackled street harassment around NYC last week. Carlos Iaje told CBS that a similar kind of incident happened recently to a loved one in the same area: “She got hit from behind," he said. "She didn’t know what happened, she just woke up in the hospital. That can happen to anybody, so you have to be more careful." Cops describe the suspect as having brown eyes, short black hair, approximately 20 years-old, approximately 6'0", approximately 180lbs.
