Even UK might do it. If they do, maybe more EU countries will follow. Sweden has received a lot of critic for the decision both from Israel and USA, but also from other parties in the Swedish parliament. No, that "promise" is only in Judaism and Christianity. Palestinians have always lived there and they have right to their own state even almost all of their land is literally stolen. They were expelled or killed. It's interesting how USA supported independence of Kosovo no matter if Serbs were against it, Serbia still didn't recognize it. It's not two religion fighting. The jewish movement asking for independance first was a mix of jewish palestinians and jewish zionit coming from other part of Europe etc... they actually believe in a collective state and religion was really not the point for them to create a state or Israel but mostly because they were outcast and persecuted wherever they would go. The Palestinian nowadays are'nt motivated for religious reason but fight to have their own land , then some extremist are using religion but it's really not the point again.
