At this point as long as the album keeps selling well it's more than enough and if it wins the Grammy it will make the whole project a big side profect success. I've also gotten over the DWUW video cause I was never into the song and the whole concept. Now I'm more like where is Venus as the second single, Gypsy as the third, Sexxx Dreams as the fourth and ARTPOP as the last one. I mean these songs are part of the core of the album, DWUW isn't. It would have been like: Applause success Venus 50/50 (big success or underperformance) Gypsy success Sexxx Dreams 50/50 (big success or underperformance) ARTPOP probably not success but iconic Promo singles: Aura DWUW GUY A good performance of Dope on YT like with Speechless This would have been flawless cause at the end of the day these songs are what ARTPOP concept was abount. Now that time has passed I don;t care as much about chart peaks but about how the Era has impacted me and sadly it hasn't as much as it should cause after Applause we got DWUW, an RnB song that doesn't fit the album as a second single and without a video and GUY, one of th emost basic songs of the album with a very small and uninteresting era (eventhough it's definitely close to the concept) Gaga needs to stop worryng for the best single choice and start focusing more at the most memorable iconic single choice. Judas underperformed for the Gaga of 2011 and was very controversial but it was 10 times the single GUY was eventhough GUY is very catchy. GUY just passed and noone noticed. DWUW didn't fit on the album musically, it kinda fit lyrically. It shouldn't have been second single, eventhough it was the most single-worthy song on the album. I think this would've done okay (just as good if not better, but a lot more fun for the fans): Applause - August Sexxx Dreams - October Gypsy - January DWUW - May Venus as a promo single with video somewhere inbetween.
