VforVendetta 2,024 Posted October 15, 2014 Share Posted October 15, 2014 applause was really the only song with actual single treatment and even it got messed up with the leak.. i think ARTPOPs success is so underrated considering all the mess. which makes gaga underrated aswell. i cant at C2C's slayage, i was hoping it would sell 500k WW when its all over and it seems it will sell over a million Applause didn't have promotion outside the US and Japan though. THe song is now almost Gold in the UK without a single performance. WIth some promo Applause would be on it's way for Platinum in the UK, and the same in France as well. WIth some promo Applause would be on it's way for Platinum in the UK, and the same in France as well. True. And It was under aired. Radio didn't want Applause. It was stuck at 50 million audience for like 10 days when the song was in top #5 on Itunes (very lame) In France it was #28 on radio at its peaks. But at the same time DWUW was overexposed on radio. In US it was at 90millions audience when top 30 Itunes and the same in France it was #5-#10 on Airplay while the song wasn't that high. Applause promotion is a bit of a mess. With a performance at X Factor UK (instead of Venus) the song could have a +50k. She decided to perform a promotion single. She may have also been falsely assuming that DWUW was going to be going top 10 anyway, so why not promote the current promo single?
