JESUS CHRIST SHE DIDN'T SHADE ANY OF HER MUSIC. She just mentioned that she thinks electronic music isn't necessarily a trend anymore. She didn't even say she's going to stop making it. Everyone here seems to be so eager to tear her down lately. Y'all can stay pressed

Yes is was designed to be a hit, but the commercial aspect wasn't the focus. The album clearly has true emotion, musical creativity. Gaga does wants her music to sell, but is simply not her focus. Her artistry comes first.

I just hope she stops talking about what she's going to do and actually backs it up with the music and Gaga-ness she claims to be making.

I'm sure that her next album will be great and possibly her best one, so I'm not worried if she wants to do something really different from ARTPOP.    I also agree that there is a lot of mainstream electronic music and I would definitly enjoy a refreshing wave of music at this point.

Obviously she decides to get involved in project she feels matters to her and can stand out from previous material, aka something bigger and more important for herself than what she put out before

I'm so glad she said that, it gives me hope for her next album to be totally different from all her previous records. I want to see as many sides to Gaga as possible during her career, I would never want her to become stale.

What does she mean by authentic? ballads? jazz? 

 

 

No, she doesn't mean either. She means vocals that haven't been heavily processed. He can still do some songs that are Dance or married with up tempo melodies, but the majority of his vocals are raw and left for the listener to hear as they really are in real life.

That's what almost every singer/writer/artists/cinematographer says every time they release something new. Of course people are proud of their most recent work. They are not going to say ''Well, I liked my previous album better,  you know. But hey... Buy C2C on iTunes!''

She is talking about mainstream electronic music. She obviously loves electronic music, and she obviously created a lot of authentic electronic songs herself. But mainstream electronic music is only made to sell more, without true feelings or artistry.

That doesn't mean her fans feel that way.... We're POP fans who love her electronic music... Ballads don't make an artist "more human or raw".... I hate people who try to do acoustic stuff to look deep and serious, but THAT seems more fake to me than anything

Maybe so but where else would she promote a jazz album? It's not like an MTV spot would benefit at all.

She's serving the GP with these promo spots which support she needs to get decent sales.
