"Shallow, deeply unimaginative"? Hmmm.... sounds a lot like LA. Projecting much? :tea:

No one should share this article or bring attention to it. That's exactly what the writer and the publication wants. Let them be assholes, the media is full of ****. Never believe a thing you hear from the media. Always think for yourself and always ask questions. The only goal (MOST) media has today is to get big reactions like this out of everyone in order to retain relevance. Most of the media is wiling to throw accuracy and honesty out the window in exchange for attention and views.

It's not so much the score that bothers me in that LA Times review (although 25 percent is laughably bad for such a great album), it's that the review doesn't even MENTION tony. The review literally spends the whole time on gaga, what expectations they have of her, and how much of a "flop" she is, and not ONCE do they mention Tony's voice or his contribution at all. It's extremely biased and one sided. Really lame.

This. They seem to forget that this was a collaborative album. The have it the score based on their opinions of Gaga rather than album. They didn't even care if it affected Tony. He was half of the album and not even mentioned.

I love though that Tony probably doesn't mind because he understands Gaga's position. He knew this would be biased. He knew Gaga's name would influence people to poorly review it. But he's knows the truth and so does Gaga. These reviews probably don't bother them because it's not honest. They know this person probably just had it out for Gaga. Oh well. Their loss.

umm... i don't get one thing. how come do they call this piece of **** 'a review' if out of 7 paragraphs only 1 of them is barely 'reviewing' the actual album?

whole 'review' is about gaga, ARTPOP, swine at sxsw and gaga once again. was it written by 70 year old madonna fan or wtf did i just read?  :smh:

Look at these comments tho:

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/la-et-ms-review-lady-gaga-tony-bennett-bad-dream-team-cheek-to-cheek-20140926-story.html#panel=comments

Surely Metacritic should take comments like these into account and maybe realise that the review is too biased to count? Otherwise what is the point of Metacritic if it doesn't review the music, but rather the opinion of the critics' opinions on the person.

Irrelevant site cant possibly accurately represent the opinions of anything because they have no basis on which to accept/ignore reviews. It's just a completely random number.

This this this.
