Psychedelic 1,098
As long as we have her Pop albums in time this is more than great for me. This! I'm not 100% full into Jazz but I like it so if she keeps putting out pop records as well, I'm more than fine with it!
SKANK 14,288
Gays tend to flock to powerful pop vocalists rather than jazz/brodway divas. I guess it is safe to assume you never have been to a Broadway show, or a Hole concert. Both are packed with homos-xuals. Pop is short for popluar. Billie Holiday was as much a pop star as she was a jazz vocalist. If Gaga released a hit song that happened to be jazz she would still be a "powerful pop vocalist." But when you say gay men only listen to pop I think you mean Electronic Dance Music. And I totally disagree. The internet and more specifically music streaming services have allowed people to broaden their musical tastes exponentially. The same gay men that are bopping to Kylie are crying to Fiona Apple, and they are rocking out to Hunx and His Punx. Gay men are largley attracted to female vocalist period. Regarldess of genre. Not all gay men are disco queens doing poppers on the treadmill.
Daenerys 6,120
Watch this planning be the only one that doesn't turn out to be a betrayal I'm excited for this. I initially hated the idea of a jazz album but as CtC gets closer and the singles get released I'm falling madly in love with how raw it all sounds. She looks so happy and I know she never said she wasn't going to release pop albums so I'm not worried. These Jazz records can be what tide us over for the next pop albums as they get released and I wouldn't mind that one bit. Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen

Benji 20,113
I don't mind, hope it doesn't mean a compromise of the music I do like by her. I personally find her jazz grating but clearly some people like it :rip:

SKANK 14,288
I see. I guess I was wrong then. :( You weren't totally wrong. The gay community has a strong relationship with dance music. We adore our disco divas. However there are just as many gay men listening to show tunes and punk music as there are gay men listening to EDM. I think it comes from my narrow point of view, since GGD is basically my whole gay world and I don't rly know much apart from it.
Guest
The people that think she's quitting pop and only releasing jazz from now on are... Very happy to hear! I doubt this will actually happen, but I'm happy she's doing something that makes her happy. :)
christianrxx 0
Has this like gotten anyone else upset or angry or depressed at all? like, im all for gaga being happy and feeling like herself again and i only want the best for her but....when she makes jazz music is doesnt do the same for me as when she sings dance or pop or rock. Like are we NEVER gonna hear another great dance anthem ever again???? Im so scared that might be the case cause i cant see her putting out more then two albums in a year if she actually puts out a jazz album every year like she says shes going to. Is anyone feeling the same way as me? Can someone please respond this has been on my mind for a long time now. And please dont call me a fan just because i dont like the new direction shes taking... im just saying im sad that i might never ever get that same initial excitement about her putting out new awesome pop music again. xzxyyxzx 116
Only Gaga can make Jazz albums a year and still come out with Number 1 Pop albums every couple of years so this definitely makes me really happy for her. . She hasn't even released a jazz album yet?
