What a nice story :) $200 is actually cheap compared to other surgeries. Having a fish for 10 years means that they obviously value it.

Some of the posts in this thread are a clear reason of why I would save my dog over a human any day.

just reminding you it's just a fish, who cares if it dies :messga:

just reminding you these owners had this fish for 10 years - pretty sure they care if it dies. :messga:

“If you have a pet, regardless of what it is, then you have a responsibility to look after it as best you can.â€

Honestly, I would have mocked this quote but after I got my pet I realized how true this is. Even though my pet is a domestic canary, if he had such deadly thing I WILL do whatever I can to help him. He's a small skinny bird but I love him so much.

thats pretty cheap surgery tbh, all you judging them. They obviously love that fish more than a lot of owners love their cats or dogs. Kudos to them

Everyone is free to spend their money on what they want so great for them! :)

If they love the fish... maybe I can't relate to that feeling but I can respect them and their decision.

Every person has different priorities and they want to expend that money on that so great, maybe they would call you crazy for... idk, expending 200 in clothes instead of donating it ;)

You must not be a fish owner, they are beautiful creatures with individual personalities, and they definitely bond with their owners
