TimisaMonster 31,073
At first yeah, but later on she slowly got over it and just feels sorry she's so obsessed with her and can't move on... Pathetic really :reductive: Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
FFXSoul91 1,098
Yes, obviously. How would you feel if you released a song that became a hit and Gaga dissed it and claimed you ripped it off from her?
uo111 5,261
It probably did but it shouldn't have. Madonna's career died a long time ago.
ClapDown 0
Madonna's career died a long time ago. It's such a funny statement when you think about the fact that she had the highest grossing tour of 2012 ($305 million) and personally earned more than any other celebrity that year ($125 million). If that's having a dead career, then just about anyone would be happy to have that.
Lady Palutena 3,147
This isn't a rumor - there's evidence from both sides verifying it. Gaga told Jay Leno in an interview that "I got an e-mail from her people and her, sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single and if the queen says it shall be, then it shall beâ€. However, CNN asked Madonna's publicist and she said that an email like that had never been sent. Basically, Gaga flat out lied in attempt to cover herself during the BTW/EY controversy and it backfired. I posted an article from a reputable source (The Hollywood Reporter) on the last page with all of this info. I didn't say it was a rumor. I said I find the whole situation in regards to the email fishy. And I stand by what I stated: I don't think Gaga would have made it up. What could she have possibly gained from that? And who says publicists tell the truth anyway? Their job is to make celebrities look good, not tell the truth. Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis. Gov Hooka 8,008
well Madonna has quite an awful personality. Even MJ couldn't put up with her. I wish Gaga wouldn't care about Madonna because there are plenty of other more musically talented legends who admire Gaga.

And I stand by what I stated: I don't think Gaga would have made it up. What could she have possibly gained from that? There was a LOT Gaga could have gained from getting Madonna's support during the whole BTW ordeal. If the email had been true, it just would have been viewed as Gaga paying homage to Madonna with her permission. Instead, Gaga lied to try about it and got called out and it just made her look even worse. Now, BTW is always going to remembered as "that song Gaga made which sounded like a Madonna song" and "the one Madonna called reductive" because Gaga was immature about she handled it. Sister 9,907
I believe that Madonna is still a fan of Gaga's talent and music. Same as I would hope that Gaga is of Madonna. I wouldn't imagine that personal differences would change that and they are both professionals. The future's uncertain and the end is always near. RAMROD 109,286
If I was her, I would actually. And I will do something similiar to this Ehhh, not really. Gaga is a strong woman, maybe at the time she will feel down. But it won't last long. She knows she doesn't need anyone permission. After all, many more legends and idols up her alley. FGGrayson 9,670
We all know she fashioned herself after Madonna and used her for inspiration on a lot of things. She wanted to be Madonna/MJ 2.0 tbh. 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗴𝗮 • 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲 • 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲-𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗼𝗿 • 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻
Economy 49,553
A bit, probably. It must have stung to know her idol felt that way about her. You get a little disappointed when the person you look up to isn't who you thought they were, you know? this tbh. its happened with people ive looked up to and it hurts when u realize they arent who u thought they were
Elizabeth 450
I don't think it's her not being a fan that would've affected her, but the shady comments made by Madonna spanning over a year. Like, it must be hard for someone you looked up to for years to not be as you expected them. I think it hurt her for a while, but I do think she's over it now. This isn't a rumor - there's evidence from both sides verifying it. Gaga told Jay Leno in an interview that "I got an e-mail from her people and her, sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single and if the queen says it shall be, then it shall beâ€. Ok but Gaga said that in more than one interview and I don't think her or her team would've been that stupid to let her say it over and over if there wasn't at least a bit of truth to it. Tokyo Rose 1,475
She wanted to be Madonna/MJ 2.0 tbh. What an asinine thing to say.The BTW/EY controversy. If that didn't happen, I'm sure Madonna and Gaga would be on just as good terms as she was with Britney. The truth is, Madge was sweet to Britney because nobody is threatened by Britney Spears. The past 3 years have shown many people to be threatened by Gaga. Madonna had the perfect chance to jump on the anti-Gaga train and get attention for her sub-par new album and superbowl performance.
