Tbh im glad her label controlled her quite a bit. It was good music and performances

Now that she has more freedom she deteriorated

I guess the issue is shes talanted and does a better job at mainstream than other artists so i loved her. But what she really likes to do is more traditional which franqkly im just not that into

I feel as though she's referring to songs like Paparazzi. She has never been able to sing that song the way the studio recording sounds.

All of you are calling her old Gwen Stefani like high pitched voice a product of auto tune.

I honestly don't think it is. Her voice and singing style has VASTLY changed. All of her songs recorded in 2007 (like "Paparazzi" and "Summerboy" and before have that voice.

Go look at her LIVE performances of "Wonderful" and "Fever" and you'll hear that her voice did indeed, actually sound like that.

And now we know why the Aura vocals were changed: To sound more radio friendly.

I'm sorry but I just don't like her saying these things. I mean, whenever she has a new project, she tends, or at least with this interview, to intentionally put her earlier works (or anything that has to do with it) in a bad light, as though she didn't like it since day one. Uhmm, what about those interviews she has done during The Fame? Wasn't she so proud of her works back then? So why "bash" them now? Is it because she's releasing a jazz album, which is a complete contrast to her earlier works? I just don't get the need to put her other works down... just to put her new ones up.

Anyway, it's Gaga. So I couldn't really say that I'm entirely surprised. Just disappointed, especially that I became a fan during that era. Like others have already said here, her saying this now somehow takes away that impression that she's fully aware that her debut album was an intentional satire to fame.

When it comes to her voice, this kind of problems always remind me of Christina Aguilera. She's always so focused on hitting some notes and scream like it's her last day on earth, when in fact, yeah it sounds good, but who cares, that doesn't dictate the quality of the songs she makes. Björk doesn't have a stupendous voice, but she can create something very special with her voice.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if your voice is edited or not, it only matters if your work is inspiring. I couldn't care less about autotune in her voice, anyway. She will always prove her talent live.
