VenusBoy 1
Ugh why when everytime a celeb is coming out, people start making him a walking gay flag... he is famous for what he is, not for being gay. so why are you people take this so seriously? MahoganySnitch 67
I'm torn. I admire his wish to not be solely defined by his s-xuality, but there's about the last sentence that's interesting. His family/friends have made it feel normal, but for so many LGBT folk, that is most definitely not the case. I'm afraid of future out celebs that take the path of extreme complacency about the topic, saying it's no big issue at all. Maybe not in specific parts of the U.S. IDK what I'm even trying to argue lol
Willy Wonka 4
 I truthfully do not see the problem whatsoever.
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
It's refreshing to see someone come out and be so nonchalant about it. Normalization of homos-xuality is a good thing. Yes, it's great when gay celebrities become activists and campaign for gay rights, but you need a balance. If every gay celebrity was a total queen and made it their defining trait, it would take longer to close the gap. He evidently hasn't struggled with his s-xuality so it's not his battle. If anything he's ahead of his time, a gay person who's able to make their s-xuality a total non-issue, which will hopefully be true for all gays in the near future. Wha So you can campaign for gay rights but no do it too much and if you do, you are a queen and that's bad?

No, I meant it's great to have gay celebrities who are total queens and who campaign for gay rights. But you also need gay celebrities who are normal and relatable to the average person, or else being gay will never become normal.

Most of the '' normal gay '' celebs are in the closet or have beards. Yay them. Okay okay I get it, I just think you are wrong to say that gays will be only accepted if they act straight, cuz that's what you saying basically. I'd agree, except there are people who will never accept it as normal, and still see them as hell-bound sodomites, whether you're on a float with nothing but a thong to the conservatively-dressed accountant. One image is just easier to swallow.
