Muh 144
Are these people offended because she say "Shalom" or because she is performing there? I still don't want her to go there I don't mean to discriminate or judge but people from those countries are really extremist and capable of doing anything they don't care for their own lives, I'm worried
ByeBye49 161
It's not like she will be walking in the middle of nowhere with nobody by her side.
VISION 52
Gaga is out of politics. You all would be fine with some big pop star performing in Ukraine, where their own army kills their own citizens, wouldn't you? She is going there for her fans, not all Israelis are "evil"
Awakened M 3,018
Music not the bombs! I'm not getting any sleep tonight because I woke up to a beautiful life. I'm awake.

MelbHawker 6,583
'Shalom' means 'Hello' in Jewish, does it not? I don't see the problem/issue here. I seriously do not. This world needs to loosen up.

SychosSoChic 9,995
They were bound to be offended by her at some point, I just didn't think it would be over a single word tho :toofloppy: Jeez people are so sensitive nowadays. Hamlet 67
I think people over reacted a bit over that. I mean she was just greeting her fans in their native language, nothing to freak out about. Also I don't think the people that are attending the concert have anything to do with the war, they're just fans that want to see their idol and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for them. IMMACULATE 13
Guys, i'm sure most of you don't get why Arabs could be sensitive towards this issue, even my Aussie BF don't get it, so let me try to clarify (knowing that i'm not good at this lol); 1- Most Arabs "moderate Muslims and even christians" don't have issues with Jews, we have issues with Israel, and the way it was spreading over the land of palestine years after years since 1948 until Palestine became a tiny little piece of that land they used to call country. 2- the hypocrisy in the way the western world is dealing with our region for example (it's ok for israel to hold and develop nuclear weapons while they start a whole war and punishment against countries that might consider doing the same) 3- i'm not with Hamas or any extremist muslim organization or any sort of terrorism form, but what happened recently in Gaza by killing hundreds and thousands of innocent unarmed people doesn't justify whatever Hamas did. The problem here is the whole Gaza issue is still fresh, and a lot of people here in the middle east have lost dear people to them during the attacks of Gaza whether in a direct or indirect way, add to that that she's coming first to Dubai (which is a multi national city where a lot of palastenians, syrian, lebanese, and westerns all live together happily but they all know people who had losses in their families in Gaza. I know that Israeli fans have the right just like everyone else to see her, the only issue here is the wrong timing when the blood is still fresh on that land. that's why a lot of people have lost respect, and classified websites in Dubai are full of artRAVE tickets as the people who bought tickets want to get rid of them now. Sorry if what i wrote is a bit weak but i'm honestly not good at politics, just trying to deliver the thoughts of people here. Happy tho for innocent Israeli fans who will get to see her.
