Didymus 34,379
Yes because everyone expects a storyline when attending a rave. It's too much of a pop show to be a rave, so I don't think those rave defenses apply at all.
PopBitch 1,218
In some ways. I really enjoyed the show. But the iTunes show just made me feel the album in a different way and Gaga. Example. I saw this performance of MANiCURE. It seemed so artsy just being all in black but simple, black leotard much like dancers wear in rehearsals. She had dark hair. She and the performance seemed so sleek and fresh and different because of the stripped back feeling and Gaga just seemed like a star. You felt it. Then you see her on tour and she looks a bit of a mess. Everything is good in the performance but just kind of a messy look and not as crisp and sleek like the ITunes fesitival. Compare the two and see how you feel. Maybe you disagree. Griffin 6
Perhaps it seems messy on paper, but it's great live.
Andrew 375
Gotta say, I wasn't overly excited for the artRAVE based on what I'd seen/heard prior to the show, and I loved it! I've been to both the Monster Ball & Born This Way Ball also. The artRAVE was just a lot of fun. There were no gimmicks, there were no overly dramatic moments, it was just Gaga doing what she does best, performing. And I do think Gaga herself seems very happy with this tour. The lighting, band and the stage itself are all perfect. My only minor criticism would be the costumes .... Apart from that, the artRAVE was awesome! soundwave 193
I loved it so much. Live is a fantastic experience. Easily the best concert I've ever attended. The stage is marvelous. And I've seen her live before.
thatfoxyfeeling 12,806
If you've not been to the show your opinion is invalid. artRAVE is more than just a 'concert', it's an experience.
Hamlet 67
Well I think the stage and the lighting aren't messy, but the set list and the outfits are.

The Monster Ball is still my favorite because of the imagery (those interludes!) and overall feel it gave me, but artRAVE is without a doubt the most FUN. The energy in the crowd is so positive and exciting, it's a nice concert to have after the the Monster Ball and the Born This Way Ball. I like that she switches it up. :)
BornSimon 4,800
Can anyone please tell me which songs have been shortened? I know about Aura, Judas and now Sexxx Dreams, and it's starting to piss me off.
Andrew 375
If there had been no Born This Way Ball I reckon everyone would love it :P BTWBall was a massive show, bigger then the artRAVE .... I think people just aren't used to seeing Gaga's shows scaled back. artRAVE is still a huge production, it's just not quite as big as what we've all seen in the past! Can anyone please tell me which songs have been shortened? I know about Aura, Judas and now Sexxx Dreams, and it's starting to piss me off. Hmm, I can't remember exactly what songs were shortened but it was a lot. I'd even say the majority of them ....
vomits her mind 0
Its literally a huge rave party. You can tell gaga has a lot of fun on stage with it. Dont judge it by watching a clip on YouTube its not the same at all
BornSimon 4,800
Hmm, I can't remember exactly what songs were shortened but it was a lot. I'd even say the majority of them .... That is quite ****ty, I adore Aura, Judas and Sexxx Dreams, I don't understand, what's the point in shortening them all? Anyway, I haven't seen the show yet (I will see it in Barcelona) but I have been to her previous to shows and The Monster Ball seemed kind of messy to me, but it was amazing. The Born This Way Ball was the best show I've ever seen (together with The Return Of The Spice Girls). I don't know what to expect from the artRAVE, but from the videos I've seen the music sounds ****ing amazing and it seems like it's a very fun show. Totally jealous you saw the Spice Girls, they cancelled their Aussie dates and I'm still pissed about it 7 years later :P And yes, the music and overall performance is fantastic. You can really see how Gaga is better then all the rest when you see her live. I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you, I'm sure I will! I was at the ARTPOP party in Berlin and I had the time of my life there so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna enjoy the artRAVE a lot as well!
