South Blonde 6,187
ARTPOP of course Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?
Willy Wonka 4
I get where you're coming from, and I'm sorry if it felt like I was coming at you. I don't know, if someone just blurted out with "no", without any kind of counter-argument, I wouldn't even indulge them. I know this isn't what you were trying to do, but it just bugs me when people use critical reviews as some sort of validation. There are film, albums, etc. that were not well-liked upon release, but have since found more appreciation (i.e. Blade Runner). And vice-versa (i.e. Crash). Almost every cult film ever has gotten terrible reviews when it came out. My favorite movie ever, Hocus Pocus (loser-status), was TRASHED when it came out. And here I am with a Hocus Pocus poster on the wall. I completely understand what you're saying, I mean, MJ's Bad didn't even get the best of reviews. Now it's considered one of the greatest albums ever made. Yeah, I just have a bad tendency to respond to everything, no matter what. I'm not sure why. I think I just feel a strong need to defend myself on here, which is probably why I responded to you and Cesare.
MJHolland 12,725
I love them both to death tbh I could never pick one :/

I just wanted a bit more elaboration on what you meant I'm not really that much of an asshole. And for the record, I also think Hocus Pocus is a legitimately great movie, and I have a list of reasons why.

Nick 29
ARTPOP. I've never been a huge fan of Beyonce and always thought she was overrated. There's just so much hype around her name which distracts from her music which isn't that good, IMO. Not discrediting Beyonce though, she's super talented. Just not my cup of tea. ARTPOP all the way. faux 2,190
Beyonce is an amazing album, I love it. But voted for ARTPOP since I enjoy and listen to it waaayyy more.
Dunk96 2,526
ARTPOP all the way. BEYONCE was overhyped when it came out,so that's why it drove me away from listening to it. Probably not good, but it's true.
Guest
Both albums are great, but ARTPOP is more my kind of music. I have to be in the mood to listen to BEYONCÉ in its entirety, but it's still her best album to date for sure. Almost every cult film ever has gotten terrible reviews when it came out. My favorite movie ever, Hocus Pocus (loser-status), was TRASHED when it came out. And here I am with a Hocus Pocus poster on the wall. Hocus Pocus is the greatest Halloween movie to ever grace a movie screen.
Nastix 66
Beyoncé is the better one imo, and I'm not even a big fan of hers. I like ARTPOP, but I got tired of it pretty quickly. I barely listen to it anymore.
danhale 0
ARTPOP Sometimes I play a song from ARTPOP and end up listening to the whole album without even noticing but I stopped listening to BEYONCÉ a while ago.
Ladey Gagz 2,512
Without being biased, ARTPOP. Beyoncé is full on fillers and I don't like alot of songs. There are some that I love though. ARTPOP is alot better overall
Quark 7,098
I said Beyonce was the better album. Enigma literally responded "no", like it wasn't even a valid answer. So I'm like, ****, look at Metacritic, I'm far from the only one who thinks it is the better album. Metacritic wasn't to support my opinion; Metacritic was to legitimize the existence of my opinion. I would never base my response on which album had the better Metacritic scores. That's stupid and sad. But if someone is going to try and seemingly question the validity of my opinion, yeah, I will gladly show you thst I'm not the only one who thinks so. Why is no not a valid answer? I just simply disagreed with your statement and said no.
Mama Ru 994
Bey tbh. I love love love ARTPOP but Beyoncé's album turned out to be her classic, defining masterpiece imo. Im blonde, I'm skinny, I'm rich, and I'm a little bit of a bitch.
