I just woke after an amazing and forever lasting night in Melbourne  :worship: . I couldn't believe that happened, ive never seen so many gaga fans sharing the same passion and ideology in the same place. Thats just bought a smile to my face I couldnt remove until the LOOOONNNGGG lady starlight opening

The show in general was amazing, it was my first time experiencing gaga live and I cant wait to do it again. I arrived with one of my friends (not the biggest and most passionate fan) at around 7:45. I thought we would be able to sit and enjoy the opening act. It was during our arrive that my first negative of the show sunk in (this isn't something gaga can control or monitor) but I felt slightly harassed by security at the venue. While a person was checking my bag for any prohibited items, he threw my bag around, found a jacket and said this wasn't aloud in. I kind of protested because it was a nice jacket so he put it back and started laughing. Then he found a water bottle, asked me to take it out. He opened the bottle threw the lid away and gave me the bottle without a lid. Im not sure if that is a normal thing or aspect of bag checking but i've never experienced that in my life. What am I meant to do with a capless bottle?  :what:

So after we finally took our seat lady starlight was well into her sketch/ opening. It took 5 minutes before I wanted to leave my seat. I dont know why but lady starlights sketch should be shortened or they should just play some rave music. Her act in general was rather draining. About 10 minutes after updating my social media I got up from my seat because I couldn't handle it anymore, I walked around in the hall and discovered that option was very popular. The hallways were filled with people drinking, shopping, eating, stitching their costumes and biggest of all was little monster meeting and greeting with each other. I found it so cute to be honest, all these gaga fans didn't care of the opening act and only came here for gaga. I walked towards merchandise and bought a tour book, angle wings and an IV shirt and then took my seat beside my friend in the arena again.

By this time is was 8:25, Lady Starlight was concluding her act.   The cheers were roaring. I wasnt sure if it was because people generally enjoyed her or because they were thrilled that she concluded her act and left. The rave music then began and lasted till about 8:45. Throughout this period you could hear cheers when band members coming on and chants for gaga. Everyone in the aisles were still sitting at this point. Gaga finally came on stage around 9pm, people roared with excitement, the arena filled with overwhelming happiness, it was at this point when I noticed that we all came here to see this one person and this just amazed me so much.

The show in conclusion was overwhelmingly amazing and completely gaga.  :ARTPOP: The changes were super fast and I didn't notice any errors in the production, the show was freaking amazing. Honestly I would've loved the show to be longer but I would rather see gaga stay happy and healthy then fill me with joy. My second downer of the night was the person I came with. Throughout the whole show she didn't jump, didn't put her hands in the air and most of the time just stood still. Throughout the whole show all she was doing was recording the show through her ipad. I was seriously tempted to grab the ipad and throw it away. What pissed me off is that she didn't have that bang realisation moment I had when gaga came on stage with the amazing glitter filled dressed, she didn't see that because she was seeing it second hand through her ipad. The whole thing kind of kill my mood and it wasn't until swine and bad romance that I really started to enjoy the show to the fullest extent because of the downer that was next to me. Also the person on my left was worse, Im sure she wasn't the biggest fan as she only sung dwuw and applause but still enjoy the atmosphere, jump and rave this is a once in a life time opportunity. These two people on my sides just completely ruined the whole rave experience for me. I didn't jump or anything until almost the end of the show and I regret it so freaking much.

Besides that, my night was amazing, gaga was amazing, may I add her figure looks amazing in person. The stage was on point and the lighting was blinding (thats a good thing in my opinion) Im so happy I was able to see this show. If anyone is contemplating going or even going again just do it, you are never ever going to experience this rave moment ever again.

Also the crowd looked ****ing amazing, it was packed in that arena.  :thirst:

btw, the bottle top thing with security is totally normal. They don't let you take the tops in in case you throw the bottle and it hits someone - with the top off the contents are more likely to spill out if you do throw it. ;) But it still sucks.

Also, well you shouldn't care what the person you went with was doing - just enjoy the show yourself. I mean I actually used my camera alot last night in some parts (but it was my 7th show lol and it was a new camera so I was really excited to try it out) . But I still danced a bit. I was doing the choreo in BR and then I realised the girl next to me was filming (or trying to) so at the end of the dance I apologised if I got in the way, and she said, "Oh we (she came with a friend) were wondering how you know all the moves!" hehe Try watching the video clip like a million times....you pick them up. ;)

But re the seating - I had a similar thing in Perth. No one near me was dancing, and so I was polite until after Just Dance and then I was like "screw this - I wanna dance, I paid my money, so they can stand up or look at my a$$"....they obviously enjoyed the view of my a$$ the rest of the show coz they didn't get up once. lol

I noticed a huge error in production at the start of the show last night, but unless you had been before you wouldn't know. When the curtain dropped, all the lights in the arena went on and none of the dancers started coming on stage and there was no music playing, so i think they weren't ready for it to start. And it stayed like that for a minute. Then the dancers came on and the music was going and the floor "opened" and you could see Gaga was there (well the top of the "wings" were visible) but the mechanism must have been stuck because she didn't come up for a good 30 seconds-1minute which is also not normal. But she finally got up to stage level and after that everything seemed to run smoothly. *phew*

It seriously is an awesome show though. lol Some people just don't like to dance. :p

Actually I noticed just before the show started the arena lights turned on, like wtf.

That's awesome!

I went with my 18 year old cousin and she was kind of a downer too. She only stood up and clapped occasionally.

Also, you could tell that everyone around me only knew her singles so they basically only sang along to JD, PF, Tele, BR, Alejandro, Paparazzi, DWUW, and Applause :deadbanana:

But despite that I still think it was memorable.

I took the cap off my bottle before they checked it and hid it on me so that once I got through checkpoint I could put it back on.Really pisses me pfoff I can't have a lid on my bottle, it's hard to carry and I'm not taking it into the toilet like that :/

I went alone and thankfully the people sitting near me were happy to dance along with me. Why wouldn't you put your hands up?? How strange.

I did notice the lights coming on too!

I agree it's a shame when people are stuck on their ipad (not a very subtle device?!) Instead of enjoying the moment. Unless they upload awesome things for me so I can relive it later ;)

I filmed Dope on my phone but that was just to get the sound of her voice. Drunk men in front of me talked loudly through parts of it though :/

lol I filmed all of Dope too, but I just filmed the back of her head coz I didn't wanna be facing the opposite direction to everyone else to film the screen. hahaha Bummer that people were talking through it though.

Glad the people near you were into it. The two girls on one side of me were drunk from the start of the show. lol But they weren't too bad. ;)
