SouthernBlonde 4 Posted August 23, 2014 Share Posted August 23, 2014 I haven't been to the artRave yet (bring on October) but from the many videos I've seen you can barely hear her above the backing track, even on the verses. That was my one complaint when I saw BTWBall also, loved the concert but for me the backing track was too loud. She should use backing singers instead. Apart from that, that review is silly. Of course you play mostly stuff from the new album on the tour that's supporting it! She's still doing all the hits too so what's to complain about? Don't get me wrong, he sounds like an asshole, but for other reasons. I love how people who say she lips have never been to the show lmfao I must have missed all the posts saying she lips. You could obviously tell she wasn't singing Partynauseous but that's clearly supposed to be a studio version while she changes. She was singing, and yelling at everyone to stand up and dance. She wasn't lip syncing and the backing track wasn't overpowering, I hardly noticed it. Yeah. This is something many don't realize. When watching videos of the show, sometimes her voice seems to get lost between all the production. But when you hear it live, her voice is very clear. He didn't call her out on lip-synching: ARTPOP is a by-the-numbers pop album that suffers in concert from over- production and Gaga's refusal to use back-up singers instead of a backing tape straight out of a Britney Spears concert. For a woman with pipes like Gaga it is a shame. It wasn't until halfway through the 100-minute spectacle that Gaga finally allowed her voice to shine on the powerful Do What U Want I spot ZERO lies in this review. Honestly, she needs to change it because the dragging was deserved. And honestly, she rly needs to stop telling people to gtfo if they don't like ARTPOP, even jokingly.
