I hate in here. If people has no interest in JAZZ is threaten like second class fans.

For me the second class Gaga fan is the one who is incapable to talk to other people having different points of view. And sending people away to other popstars or fanbase is so childish. People are no interested in Jazz and think it's a bad idea because they are not Jazz? An answer to that? "Let's hope she pull a pop album in between" and not "Go **** yourself little spoiled brat"

I mean c'mon! Some people don't like Jazz, get over it. Stop harassing the fans that are not willing to eat every "piece of **** "she is producing.

I haven't personally seen anybody freak out over somebody here not liking Gaga's Jazz efforts. I just see a lot of people freaking out and acting like she is only going to do Jazz from now on, or that she is never going to go back to pop, or that she is destroying her career by releasing two Jazz albums. :smh:

Like chill, if you don't like Jazz that's fine but that doesn't mean she shouldn't release any Jazz albums. She needs to enjoy what she is doing or there isn't really a point in her doing it.

I think it's important to recognise that she is a human and an artist. We can't keep her in a box and expect her to churn out pure pop albums every year or so. Another Jazz album on the side doesn't hurt and it only helps to show off her many talents and allow her to release more diverse and interesting projects in the future.

Of course we can.

Besides, the same reasoning applies to pop music as well, she could show her talent there too, and really she should, with that at least more people would care

If she loses her momentum and her fanbase, she will collapse and be like Nelly Furtado

Another Jazz album? I don't think that's what she needs after Cheek to Cheek.

She can show her talents in pop, and she has multiple times, but Jazz is a different category and she has shown how well her voice suits Jazz. The world isn't going to abandon her because she releases a couple of Jazz records.

It allows her to really diversify and experiment more in the future, even with her pop records. Do you think her label would trust her to release an acoustic album after The Fame? At this point she has shown that she can be taken seriously in a number of different genres.

If she kept doing dance-pop records her whole career then she would eventually fade, she would be seen as a one-trick pony and people would tire of her. This is an amazing moment in her legacy, when they are doing career retrospects she will have a wide-range of music from a variety of genres to show off.

As long as she is still releasing perfumes, appearing in movies, touring, appearing in campaigns for fashion labels like Versace, collaborating with renowned artists, appearing in The Louvre and booking performances such as her space visit i'm sure she will be ok. She is still a highly profitable artist and she isn't completely abandoning pop, so any meltdowns over a couple of albums featuring classic Jazz standards with a Jazz legend such as Tony Bennett is a bit of an overreaction.

Nelly Furtado never had the fanbase that Gaga has, she never created the sort of buzz and frenzy that Gaga has. It's a little odd to compare the two.

I hope you're right.

This part is not true tho, she has crazy massive sales in the 00's, huge hits.

Her last album debuted with 15 K and the music wasn't even that good, although some people praised it

I don't know why everyone is upset about this. It's Golden!

This! You all complain wanting new music so she's doing so, no it's not music she might of written but it's still new material and you complain. The songs are written just need to be recorded so this wouldn't take years like previous albums of looking up dj's instrumental database and then slowly tweaking them

Another jazz album!? No thank you.

That's everyone's choice, you don't need to buy it. I think it's a great idea. You can comment on news but it's not really up for debate a decision has been made most likely

It is definitely true. I remember the days of Nelly Furtado, but people were never camping outside her hotel rooms. She was never declared a musical icon or compared to MJ or Madonna. She was a big star, but she was sort of like Timberland's muse and doesn't really have any iconic moments to her name. She could never really diversify and evolve in the same way Gaga has.

Gaga will remain because she has an incredible voice, she is amazing live and has already shown diversity in her music. She appeals to iconic and high calibre brands and helped to actively change the pop stratosphere.

Nelly Furtado didn't change the cultural landscape on the same level as Gaga, she didn't even really have the consistent success. Loose is her most successful album by far, her other albums don't come close to those levels.

Awesome :legend: Whatever she wants and isn't commercially attractive is welcome for me, since it's most probable that it's something she is 100% passionate about and isn't going to be corrupted by a label/manager/...

Love the title too.

The fact that the "breakdowns" are from the fans who are so deluded to think that everyone loves jazzga and should leave if they don't :messga:

I'm kind of looking forward to Cheek To Cheek, I'm not the biggest fan of jazz but I'm gonna give it a listen.... does that mean I want two albums in a row like Tony suggested? F*CK NO :rip:

No, it doesn't in anyway insinuate that I believe jazz music will become mainstream. I believe the only chance of getting any mainstream airplay is if there is a song that will work during the holiday season and HAC puts it on their playlists. I mentioned changing music due to the fact that we can't foresee what trend will come about and therefore Gaga should not try to write music to fit a trend and the fact that changing trends means that different artists will not fit in at certain times. Never have I ever thought that pure jazz covers will become the next trend in pop music.

Some of the comments are hysterical because people are declaring all sorts of things due to a rumor and an upcoming era that they have no idea how it will play out. Even if this second jazz album ends up being correct, that doesn't mean Gaga won't be going back to some form of Pop, whether it is Pop Rock, Acoustic Pop, or Pop Rock ballads. She may or may not end up incorporating some jazz flavor, in some way, on a new album of original songs. That was just a thought, nothing more. The hysterics are due to people jumping to conclusions, over something that may very we'll not even play out. I've said that since the beginning.

It does... why did you bring it up if you didn't mean that? :messga: Gaga's shown us she can write incredible pieces of music, ones that have never chased a trend (until ARTPOP) and don't even sound dated today. I never said "Gaga should release pop music exactly like what's on the radio" ... We're talking about jazz covers.. wooh how fun yay.

Not really, most posts are sassy or have humour in them. All of my posts before this were clearly not to be taking incredibly seriously, just like everyone else's but then the crazy fans who would eat Gaga's sh*t came running in to defend what's going to be another album of jazz covers........... like, how can anyone expect every fanb to be thrilled over that rumour?

That's another point, people are saying they don't want it to happen because... they don't want it to happen. They know it's a rumour? The 'hysterics' are mere jokes but you can always rely on some fans to let that go over their heads and start up arguments as to why this is apparently the best thing ever... just don't, this is so silly :rip:
