Gaga educates the little microscopers of "Oh no they didn't"

it's race / racism, because if you checked the article (!) that is how they tagged it on the site, at the bottom. race / racism. if you click on the tag, it takes you to all of their articles that are involved in race and racism discussions. it is not an accusation of being a racist. it's a pertinent tag. plus, they tag all their tweets.

I feel like I haven't been very clear. As far as I'm concerned this is the article. The actual article makes no claims of racism, is well thought out and written and makes sure to give Gaga the benefit of the doubt.

The article that they "wrote" being tagged with race/racism doesn't make it better. It makes it worse if anything.

yes, that is the article, which ontd posted on their website. under the tag "race / racism", along with all articles that mention race, including black celebrities saying they want more film roles, because that is a racial discussion. and so is this. so you saying that including it under a race / racism tag makes it worse is just beyond me, and saying that it is an accusation of RACISM is simply wrong. because it's a tag. to file the article along with all the other race based articles. because this is a race based article, even on the original site from where it came.

no one claimed they wrote the article by the way, so no need to put that in quotes. and the article does make claims of racism. but in the eyes of the japanese people who are offended by it. not the writer. and guess what - same goes for the ontd article, because it's the same article with a different title making explicit reference to juicy parts of the article. and i've covered you misunderstanding the tags.

Quoting people isn't the same thing as calling her racially insensitive in the title.

I... okay

yeah, quoting someone else's opinion is not the same as giving your own opinion. and deeming couture racially insensitive is not the same as calling someone a racist, which i covered, to which you responded with the tag thing which was just wrong.

Tags have meaning. And calling someone racially insensitive is one step down from calling them racist. Put it together and that's what they are implying. If you disagree with me, that's fine. But don't tell me I'm just wrong because that's such a limited view of interpretation and is overly forgiving of shoddy journalism.

If they don't want to be viewed as calling people racist, then don't lump race and racism together in the same tag :smh:

but it's not calling them racist and there is an important distinction. when you bandy around terms like racism and racist you diminish them, so it's better to stick to calling it as it is.

yes, tags have meaning. the article is an article about race, is it not? it is. they tag all of their articles so that you can find other articles that cover the same subjects. just check the site and the tag function for yourself. you're looking for an implication that really isn't there. check the tag for yourself. they're certainly not all about calling people racists so i don't think i'm wrong for saying you were wrong about that. you said they accused her of being a racist when in reality they were putting the article in the race SLASH racism filing cabinet. harmless. i already conceded that there could be perceived headline grabbing when you read the tweet (which is the only thing you've ever been going by unfortunately) with an angle to it, but it's nowhere near as clear cut as you've been insinuating. and if you read the article alongside the tweet you'd get it instantly.

Ahhh so the whole Korean letters thing was from a Japanese designer :dies: The only person people can be mad at is the designer then, Gaga did nothing wrong, if anything she did something great by wearing a Japanese designer

Yup! glad she clarified :)
