Hi guys,

So I figured I would share my backstage experience with you (and a bit of my crazy past few days) all that I got at artRAVE Denver. This might be a little long, so bear with me.

So Im from Ft. Lauderdale Florida and I went to the opening show here and was able to fly to Denver for the show there. My friend and I (who is another huge super fan) got into Denver Tuesday afternoon before the show on Wednesday. After making a quit stop at a recreational dispensary (which was awesome to do legally) we headed to the hotel gaga was staying at to see if we could catch her leaving or entering. We got there around 3 PM which was the hotels check in time (sorry I can't say how we found out the hotel or which it was / many of you may already know how to find the hotel) and waited until midnight for her. While we waited we saw Ricky the guitarist, Asiel and victor (who were staying at the hotel across the street). We also saw Spanky the drummer who was with someone else who I did not recognize. We thought Gaga had to be in the hotel based off of what our sources said but sadly she did not check in until about 12:30 that night we later found out.

My friend and I purchased LMZ tickets so we weren't worried about getting in line until much later in the day which allowed us to go back to her hotel to wait some more. There was a lot of action and we were talking to her drivers but ultimately we were told she was not leaving for soundcheck until 7 PM. Before we headed to the Pepsi Center (the venue) we got the opportunity to meet Gagas dad and Lacee who we met at the Ft lauderdale show and she remembered us which was really cool. We got to talk to her for about 5 minutes and she was telling us about how excited gaga was for this show. We also met some cool monsters from Dallas whom I regrettably did not get their names :(

MOVING ONNNN

We got to the venue around 5 and were #9 and #10 in the LMZ line. When we got into the venue we go front row against the barricade between the main stage and where that catwalk meets the stage. It was the PERFECT spot she was 10 feet from us for about half of the show it felt like. And let me tell you this show was EVERYTHING. Her energy for this show radiated off of her. We were told to put out joint out by security (one of the cons of being front row is that all the venue staff stand right in front of you and see everything you do) and even with the crappy half high I had I felt euphoric. I have never felt so awesome.

So here comes the good part.

My friend and I had planned to throw gifts on stage after Aura (if you have questions about letter throwing I can help with that just ask :) ) So when aura was on (after judas which was FREAKING INCREDIBLE TO SEE LIVE after the Edge of Glory) she sat down directly infront of us and we got the perfect opportunity to toss our gifts. I never thought she would actually in a million years pick mine up but she did!! She picked my letter up and when I saw it in her hands I was in complete shock. Did that really just happen?

Here is a video I found of youtube of her reading my letter and talking to me on stage. I look a damn mess on that screen though so dont judge please omg I was so happy and crying like crazy

Im the one wearing the PVC clear jacket and my friend is in the white vest.

If you watch the video you can see what she said to me and then I got the "Would you like to come backstage I would love to have a drink with you" question and I just died and of course I said I would love to. So s-xxx dreams started and I literally cannot remember most of the show after that all I kept thinking about was "Oh my god she read my letter were going backstage". Except she layed down on the stage in front of me and my friend and sang Swine with us and we made piggy faces at her and she made faces at us back and was pointing at us and playing around with us for like 15 - 20 seconds during the song which was really cool. One of the members of her team told us to the protocol of what to do so we headed to the ARTPOP zone durring gypsy and waited for more instructions

Because we weren't with the ARTPOP zone and didnt pay we got a different backstage experience than them (which im happy about). We walked through the back of the stage and got to se all the props and stuff. I saw the s-xxx dreams bed and the MANiCURE chair and the DWUW claw and the swine masks and a bunch of other stuff I wouldn't nomally see. We also watched the ARTPOP zone people be escorted directly to the vip room so I don't think they saw everything we saw.

We waited like 30 minutes and were told what was going to happen. The ones who paid would do their Q and A session and we would get to go for pics and a quick word with her. I didnt care because I was like...im just lucky to be here. WELL we were told by her team that once she realized we weren't in there, that she personally requested for us to be brought it which I thought was so cool that she actually asked for us.

SO

We started walking to the room that she was in and as we walked through the hall Lane walked by with Asia and we got to pet her (shes really big and just as derpy looking in person it was so cute seeing her) and Lane was like "Shes wants them in there hurry up shes been wondering where they are" and the adrenaline rush I got at the moment was like no other. We got to door and her security opened it for us and there she was sitting RIGHT infront of us looking HELLA FLAWLESS. Like oh my god it was like seeing an angel. She radiated this really natural sense of beauty and was wearing the brown wig from the pic she posted of her on her bus on instagram from the night before she checked in. It was dark brown with bangs like the MANiCURE wig from iTunes festival.

We sat down on the floor infront of her because all the seats were taken (this worked out better because we were the closest to her). We only missed about 5 minutes where she brought in Asia and everyone got to meet her but we got to meet her anyway outside so we really didn't miss much. She was talking about dope when we walked in and how it used to make her really sad and she didn't want to look at that time in her life but now she thinks of her fans when she sings it which is why she added it to the setlist. She talked about a lot of personal stories which out of respect for her I wont share BUT I will tell all the info she said.

There will be a tour for Check to Check. You should have seen how she lit up when she started talking about it. She said "Guys let me tell you this album is EVERYTHING" it was so funny how she said it we all started laughing. She said Tony is a true gentleman and her favorite collaboration musically.

She talked a lot about the album ARTPOP and about its philosophy and she said she didnt get why it went over so many peoples heads. She said its really simple, just putting art for the sake of art, in front of pop. Making art more important. She told us "art only exists if we pretend it does so its up to us to keep art and creative expression alive". It was so surreal talking about the ARTPOP philosophy with her. Like we literally had conversations about astrology and how that plays a role in her life. She also talked about how she doesn't want to commercially successful, she wants to be culturally successful.

She told us about how she went to some guru and she was told shes lived a thousand lives and she is a very old soul and that the last thing her soul needed was to be famous and thats why she believes she rose to fame so quickly. She said the stage is supposed to represent Nirvana and that we, the fans, built that for her. She said at the first show in ft lauderdale "We made this stage".

I feel like this is getting really long so Ill wrap it up and just include info if anyone asks

All in all this is the point I really want to get across. Gaga is the person you expect her to be. She was so chill and honest and genuine. She is the same person you see on TV, in interviews, on the stage. When people say meeting her is like hanging with a friend, they could not be more true. I didn't feel like I was meeting Gaga the celebrity. I felt like I was meeting Stefani, my friend who I have known for the past 6 years. Every bit of star struckness that I thought I would feel, vanished as soon as we sat down. She reaffirmed to me why she is the idol I have looked up to and friend I have found in her music. Her essence is so comforting and warm- it was just incredible hanging out with her. And thats what it actually felt like, just a couple friends hanging out with some drinks. And I CANNOT wait for that professional pic to come in lol

Sorry this was ten miles long, Its a lot of word vomit that I need to share. Gaga, if you ever end up reading this, thank you so much for all that you do. You are a true friend to all of us.

Ill post pics if I can figure out how  :noparty:  maybe yall can help with that.

Thanks for reading!

Thank you very much for this info.

I'm so happy for you ! I totally agree with your decision of not sharing her personal stories.  :)
