I wonder if Gaga presigns the tour book because....

It's like saying "I met Gaga and spent time with her and got a picture but waaaaa she wore that one wig I don't like". Please. I understand wanting your favorite album signed but does that really constitute a groan? I'd kill to have my ARTPOP vinyl signed because I think ARTPOP will finally get recognition one day and a signed ARTPOP/artRAVE ANYTHING will end up being more valuable than things which came before it. The tour book is gorgeous and I'd kill to have it signed. Not hating on ya but you kind of open yourself up to some WTF when you whine about getting a Gaga autograph when the majority of stans party in the stands. Ya know.

But the point is that the earlier people got to choose what they had signed and now it looks like we don't, so it's a bit unfair. Plus I really don't like this tour book, and it's just gonna sit on a shelf so you won't even see the autograph. And well we're paying  a lot of money for the experience, so yeah, sorry, it is disappointing that mid tour it's changing. Especially since I bought my APZ tix after having read some of the original stories where people got stuff personally autographed. Like they even wrote their name on a post it so she wouldn't spell it wrong! It doesn't mean I'm not excited about meeting her, but I can still feel disappointed because the thing I personally wanted the most was my artwork signed, so yeah I am bummed that it won't happen.

hmm I would love to have Gaga's autograph, and I'll be happy to take it off the hands of anyone who doesn't want it. :manicure:

Not really the point though, and I think you know that. :p

I do understand, and I'm being purposefully difficult :) but my point still stands, I would love I have her autograph, even on a napkin. Sorry if the OP doesn't care for the album (I think it's probably her best, but okay).

Yeah I knew you were. ;) haha well I like the album - I'd rather she signed my ARTPOP cd (don;t have the vinyl) than the tour book tbh. ;)

I do understand what you are saying and I love you to death! However, here's the thing and I had to learn this when I started my VIP concert going career years and years ago.....A VIP meet and greet is subject to change at any time. The rules, timings, everything can change overnight and you take that risk when you purchase a VIP package. You can never truly go by one persons review of the experience because of that reason alone. Yes, it's disappointing when you feel someone else got a different/better or more open experience than you did when you paid the same amount of money, but that's how it works. There's varying reasons for this: timing...did the show run long, does the band and artist need to pack up and hurry because of a show the next day, is there an interview at 730 the next morning, is the artist not feeling well, etc etc. The list can go on. Now, it can be argued "Well then don't offer a meet and greet". The M&G is for you. The one thing that's guaranteed about a M&G is you will meet the artist. I've been to some that have felt like cattle calls. Ya walk in, placed in a line, totally excited/nervous, you finally get to the star, shake hands, pose, snap, bye. 25 seconds. (Hi Cyndi Lauper!). I've been to others where ya wait in a line, finally get to the star and they chat it up, sign whatever you have, laugh, hug, kiss, snap a pic, hug again...15 minutes! And it's great (Hi Robyn!!). But nothing is a guarantee and you don't know what YOU get until you are in it. And when it's so quick it can be dizzying. Handlers are the biggest problem but in ways they are also the voice of the artist when said artist doesn't want to tell you No. They've already told the handlers No beforehand. So it appears the handlers are rude when they are actually following orders given to them from the artist beforehand. Could she sign what you want? Sure. And she would've had it been right there. But the VIP meet and greet promises only a meeting between artist and fan. Sometimes more happens which is AWESOME. Sometimes less happens. But you meet them. And to me that's priceless. Enjoy it for what it is and next time if ya find its too expensive for what you desire, don't bother with it. But each meet and greet is unique. Ya never know what could happen. It's a crap shoot! Much love. Xo

This is my first meet and greet. I've not done one with any artist before (tbh because I get anxiety attacks so I've never even thought about trying to do one before this), and when I was thinking if I should try to get a ticket for this, I could tell myself "well the one thing you want the most is to get an autograph on your work and this seems like the only way to do it", so I just know that I am gonna have to put myself through hell for this meet n greet, and that's why I'm so sad about the change. I mean I know it's not guaranteed, but it'd just be nice if it was consistent for everyone. I have no issues with paying the money to meet Gaga, and as I said, I'm still excited to meet her. I just hope I don't get an anxiety attack in the middle of it. I understand some people think it may sound whiny or whatever, but like they don't know me, so they don't have a right to judge how I feel - like I have seen some very harsh things said to other people about this subject too (and not just on GGD but other places too).

^^^ don't worry about that. Alot of people are just upset they didn't get the chance to meet her. That's a reflection on them and not you. I lost out on APZ tickets because they sold out so fast for my show but I'm not bitter about it lol. That's the game! I was still so close I could smell her and that was fun enough. For now anyway ;)

I know what you mean but refocus on the positives. If you got the chance to greet the woman who means alot to you, who will continue to do great things for us, you succeeded! And she's real as all get out. Next time say "Gaga, I hate to bother but there's this one thing that would make my life! If you'd just sign this real quick, it would mean the world to me"....you know she would move heaven and earth to do it. She loves you like you love her. And I dig you two as well :). Xo

lol Probably true. I'm actually very lucky to have the chance to get my tickets because mine are for the second Melb show, so for a long time I didn't have APZ. Tickets for my show only went on sale after I had already been to Uncasville and MSG....and actually having GA at MSG helped me be even more convinced that I wanted to try for APZ tickets because I managed to get through the show without freaking out. Like I had already warned my friend before the show that I may have to go to the back or something if it's too crowded. But knowing that I managed that kinda made me think "well maybe you can manage APZ if you can get a ticket".

But with all the stuff I'm reading for the recent shows it's been stressing me out, which is a bad thing, coz I'll already be nervous enough about it, and worrying that I might "freak out" (and not in a good way). I am trying to focus on the positives, but then all I think is "what if I say something stupid?" hehe

And thank you for at least trying to understand and not just being like other people who say "get over it" or something to that effect. :)

I thought you will be asked what goodies that you'd like to be signed backstage??

I do not think she is that petty.

Maybe she did this to keep things effective.

Have you asked tho, if you can have your CDs signed??

Sone people does and got it.

Look at the ARTPOP Zone thread, there are lotsa pages of discussions about the zone.

Yeah, they used to let you get one thing of your choice signed, but now they changed it and people are just getting pre-signed tour books.

To Somechick.....I think what alot of people either don't know, realize or take into consideration is how you get nervous and worried....I do GET how that can make you feel. I've never personally had that when meeting famous folks cuz to me I feel I'm meeting old friends...but I can understand how that can just trap your mind up. You've done nothing wrong. You are just a thinker...someone who probably a--lyzes things to a fault! I have dear close friends like that and ill tell you like I tell them: You are an old soul and it's ok to let down your guard and realize YOU are WORTHY of any great experience you encounter. Try your best to not fixate on the one negative you can find in a totally positive experience! You are worth more than that!!! Re-focus your thoughts and enjoy this mean crazy life and the GREAT FUN things that you CAN (and have!!) gotten out of it! I'm proud to know you. Much love. Xoxo

Oh I see.

I guess it just to keep things on time.

I guess she like to rest early too :laughga:
