That dress is Mondrian inspired, from a movement called Neoplasticism, based on synthesis of form and color. So in a way, "The color palette you chose" lyrics actually don't make any sense with that kind of dress, because De Stijil was very strict in terms of which colors you could use: only the primary ones.
