Guest
She is ARTPOP since TFM , wake up ARTPOP was just a celebration of her way to do her job. etc. Oh my god, THANK YOU. I don't think people realize this at all, even though she's said this numerous times.
ryhanna 3,507
Not really in the way that you're thinking. I think at the end of the day, the music of ARTPOP and the message of the album won't be what is remembered. It'll be Gaga herself, because she's embodied this philosophy from day one. She's always been an obscure mixture of art and pop. Her impact since the beginning of her career has encouraged her peers to step up their game and be more interesting to compete with her. So yes, in a sense, a 'movement' has been created, but it didn't start with ARTPOP. It started all the way back with Just Dance, and honestly, even before that. Will pop artists in the future be expected to make meaningful, artistic music? Probably not, pop will likely continue to be used as a product with certain artists pushing boundaries and creating genuinely passionate music. ByeBye49 161
Isn't ARTPOP a mini celebration of the beginning of her career? I'm lost now.
Tropico 4,145
Isn't ARTPOP a mini celebration of the beginning of her career? I'm lost now. Yes. It is. That's why artRAVE is what it is. But not everyone in the GP knows that Gaga has been doing ARTPOP her whole career but now that it was the central focus it was more clear to more people. Like people may not have noticed because they were looking at the Born This Way message or the fears and stuff. Now ARTPOP was what was in the spotlight. And that's why I say will the album ARTPOP create a movement? ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢
mister 17
Didn't David Bowie arguably do this? Like i the 70's?
IHE 563
If you mean like Katy Perry's TIHWD video and Madonna's #artrebellion or the Jeff Koons move into fashion, or random pop stars like Miley talking about their art book reading, or Lilly Allen's reference to Gaga being a martyr for art, or young fans being introduced to Marina Abramovic? Or Billboard talking about how Katy's ARTPOP could mean anything? Uh, ya, . Heeeeelloooooo.

Willy Wonka 4
Not at all. It had minimal to no impact and it's poor performance will not prompt anyone to be inspired by it.
