On this day 100 years ago, the first declaration of war was made (the first attack wasn't until days later). The war ended on the 11th of November 1918, meaning that 2018 will also be a centenial year. WWI took the lives of over 9 millions soldiers and killed 6 millions civilians over the years, making it one of the biggest wars in terms of casualties.
