somechick 1
She can't take everyone though, it'a rather obvioud that it'll be a person or 2 out of 20 000 fans, so getting one's hopes up is pointless. Besides, it is unfair for those who paid, no matter how they feel about it. Well yeah, obviously she's not gonna pick a whole bunch at most shows (she did in NYC but that's different). gagaforgaga2010 117
I do feel a little slighted when people who meet her all the time get picked to go backstage, but it doesn't ruin me seeing her or hearing her sing. In fact, even though I've never met her, she always comments on my outfits from the crowd so she does try to spread the wealth a little bit
Chase 407
I worked for two weeks on this amazing ARTPOP jacket and at the BTWB, I threw it at her legs and she looked down at it and just walked past it

Hewkah 48
This may sound awful, but wouldn't it fix the issue if she decided not to take anyone back stage? That way, no one is upset, trying to fight for a spot, and it's fair

That way, no one is upset, trying to fight for a spot, and it's fair This Her fans have become brainless with the backstage thing, basically they're like animals trying to get some food before the others. There are people who paid THOUSANDS of dollars to get backstage and you expect to get picked by throwing a plastic doll at her? Please don't be ridiculous. Also this... somechick 1
I know it's getting "ruthless" with people trying to get backstage, but I actually like it that she does it and I hope she wouldn't stop. I think it's nice that she wants to meet her fans....and for those of us who want to guarantee to meet her, we can pay the $1500 for the meet n greet. ;)
Blake 7,385
I get people work hard on things and stuff. But you're paying out money on making things just for it to be most likely thrown away by the dancers or not seen by Gaga like...
Antidote 95
I understand how you feel. I can totally imagine the feeling like "omg I made it she picked up my present" because it feels like you're so close to getting picked for going backstage. Sorry for you

Sorry for you Apparently studies have proven that 3rd place winners are happier than 2cd place winners because people in 2cd place keep thinking of the little changes they could have made to get 1st while 3rd place is just happy to be on the board. :P Seems to apply to this situation as well! Sleepyhollowgrl 0
It's sad but I also agree she should stop inviting people in order to make the obsession calm down. At artrave LA, I had a lovely family standing next to me who had traveled from out of state. They've seen gaga live more times than I ever expect I will. They threw a note attached to a gift. Gaga picked up the gift, played with it and threw it aside. This girl was the definition of DEVESTATED. Not only did it ruin artrave for her, but likely for her family, as well. I agree that no one should EXPECT to go backstage, but of gaga picks up your gift and plays with it, there is an extra level of excitement because on some level you expect to get invited after she picked up your item. When the show was over, another fan I had Been waiting in line with was heartbroken because his item hadnt been selected and this was his only artrave. IMO the gift/backstage thing was kind of a mood killer and I saw way more people leave upset because of it than I saw leave happy. I think of gaga realized how heartbroken it makes the fans who aren't selected she might reconsider. I understand the want to throw gifts and notes out of pure love for gaga, but I'm also a huge believer in showing your love through dancing and singing your ass off!! You're comparing racing or a contest, things that you work for, to something that happens by chance. When that chance is just thrown down by Gaga it wouldn't make anyone happy. ThePurringPearl 0
At AC I threw fake flowers on stage for her to pick up during gypsy. i placed them on the bridge part of the runway. She didn't see them and started jumping and dancing over top of them and crushed the flowers. Everything else I threw was thrown back by dancers. In philly I hit her in the head with a glowstick! SWINE. But making eye contact with her a few times was cool. #artRAVE Do you have a video?
