Oh OK. I don't suppose you know how many albums gaga still owes interscope and if the fame monster and C2C are counted towards it?

I don't know but I don't see why TFM and C2C wouldn't count if they're both albums released/soon to be released under Interscope's label.

I really hope you're right I just want her away from them already.

I hope she doesn't. And if she does, at least go to another (good) label. I just don't want her making all the managerial and promotional decisions. She's an artist (and a damn good one at that). But she is not a music executive and needs SOME decisions (those that don't affect her amazing music) to be made for her. Interscope has done a fantastic job at promoting ARTPOP in the U.S and U.K.

She had the VMA's, AMA's, SNL, The Voice, X- Factor (U.K), Alan Carr, David Letterman, GMA..

Sometimes the music stuck like Applause and Do What U Want (to an extent), and sometimes it didn't like G.U.Y and the entire ARTPOP album as a whole. But you can't blame Interscope for not trying in my opinion :p

I used to believe that Interscope gave their artists freedom to do their thing, I guess I was wrong, still better than most labes out there tho

My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48

I love Lana so much born to die & paradise are my **** I was so hyped for Ultraviolence but when it leaked and I heard it I was extremely disappointed. There is literally not one song on the album I like it's all just the same it sounds.

Why would they hate it? It's exactly the same sound as her first album.  :toofunny:

if they can do this to an artist that doesn't have a plethora of hits nor a reputation for hits, imagine what they could do to gaga who has much more on the line. it really puts things into perspective. i mean, what label doesn't want their artists to always be creating? ****ing stupid.

This makes me sad to hear, but I'm glad it all worked out in the end. I think this is the kind of stuff about the music industry that Gaga has alluded to in a couple of interviews over the past year (I don't mean Lana's specific situation but the general lack of risk-taking and creativity from the suits at labels) I get that they are a business and so need a hit single in that respect, but at the end of the day it is about the music and whether it is good or not and I think we all know that the charts are not an indication of quality. I think radio is becoming more and more redundant, especially with the way fan culture exists online and artists' music can thrive in that way now, regardless of how much radio airplay it gets. I honestly think Ultraviolence is one of the best album offerings of the year so far, I absolutely love it and I'm not an avid Lana follower (although I love her first album too) it is very refreshing and beautiful to me so I'm so glad they released it. It really irks me that they would make her meet with an Adele producer even if that wasn't necessarily the best thing for the direction of the album but I think it's great that whoever it was said it didn't need changing.

Well the album is boring with the exception of 4-5 songs so...

And Kylie's albums are filler free right?

As a fan of Kylie I personally find it funny you'd say that

I think Lana will eventually change her label sometime. I think she and her music has a better place with Warner Music (as a major), so for example Nonesuch Records as a sub label (where Dan and The Black Keys are). It fits better.

Do we know how many more albums she has to do for Interscope?
