Das2793 0 Posted July 14, 2014 Share Posted July 14, 2014 I hated Just Dance when it first came out, I seriously thought she was just another manufactured pop star that couldn't sing live but then when she came out with Poker Face I was in denial of loving her songs and I remember I went on YouTube to kinda prove that she couldn't sing and I came across her Transmission Gagavision videos and then her unreleased songs and I was an immediate stan, to me that woman was no longer a ditzy pop star she was my queen, I first heard her in '08 when I was 15 and now at 20 (almost 21) my love for her has not diminished at all. But I first saw her in Beautiful, Dirty, Rich music video when it was the OST of a series. That day was monumental, whenever i look back to it .. seeing your idol for the very first time Oh, it was DIVINE! Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want be abused. Spent all of summer 2009 listening to unreleased tracks completely oblivious to the Paparazzi era cause I was kind of isolated at that point. I didn't even watch the VMA performance until Christmas of that year. Wasn't completely obsessed until summer 2010. Still as much of a fan as ever. Maybe more. I liked Just Dance, and thought her voice was good, but never was a big mainstream pop (American that is, JPOP is a different story) fan or Stan. I had seen a few music videos and performances and LOVED the visual aspect of her aesthetic. That acoustic Poker Face Cherry Tree sessions performance is what made me into a true fan, or monster as you could say. And breaking down pop songs into acoustic still impresses me this day. I had loved her music in 5th grade, but I had gotten more into her music throughout the years after that . I remember watching the Telephone video and that Born This Way video. VforVendetta 2,024 Posted July 14, 2014 Share Posted July 14, 2014 i was actually quite skeptical in the beginning, i didnt really like her. i was just like "what is all the hype about" she just wasnt as odd as everyone was making her out to be and her music was simple bubblegum pop. and i still kinda feel that way, but i became a fan during the paparazzi era, right when i saw the music video i was hooked. i must've watched it like 10 times in a row. it was awesome.
