I just don't see it.

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

I agree that people should stop saying Gaga should return to a certain era, but as a TF and TFM stan I disagree with those song categorizations :awkney:

ARTPOP is a celebration of her career, but not really just in the music. More so in the visuals.

Not gonna lie my TFM categorizations were a bit of a stretch... :awkney:

It really is a celebration I think and I really wanted this thread to make people explore the connections between ARTPOP and Gaga's past eras and for people to realize that her past eras aren't dead. They are alive and being incorporated still in Gaga's art. :laughga:

ARTPOP doesn't sound anything like TF , TFM , BTW its it own album fgs

If you can't find the connections that is fine by me. I tried to help, but only you can let the light in like a Prism. :fan:

Jewels N Drugs doesn't go on the 17 track masterpiece, iconic album that is Born This Way

Born This way was THE best album i have ever heard from start to finish :wtf: I dont think anything on ARTPOP could compare to the musical masterpiece that was EVER track

edit: but i DO think Do What U Want sounds extremely The Fame Monstery oh AND I get what the OP means by Sexxx Dreams being a more mature sounding element of the songs on The Fame, I think its the same with Fashion! and g.u.y

And I refuse to see this as the end of the beginning of her career! I want that B-Sides album dammit. :cryga:inb4 betrayal

shhh don't say that or she'll cut another song from artRAVE :derpga:

Come along with me and the butterflies and bees

I feel like the fact that the OP has to explain themselves so many times in this thread says enough.

I'm sorry but her music is her music, simple as that. The songs that are on ARTPOP are ARTPOP. Of course her music today is going to incorporate influences from her previous work.

Y'all are over here trying to compare ARTPOP to Gaga's previous commercial successes, when down deep, I would be surprised if Gaga doesn't see ARTPOP as her biggest personal accomplishment to this date. She basically said **** you record label and did exactly what she wanted.

Tokyo Rose

she was doing a lot of d--gs and partying a lot during the Born This Way era

No she wasn't! She was like.. opening foundations at Harvard with Oprah, filming huge music videos, doing promo all over the world, etc.

Born This Way was probably the busiest part of her whole career this far.

When exactly do you think she had time to be partying and doing d--gs?

Maybe I am wrong, my apologies. I remember the things you listed, but I also remember lots of d--gs. My memory might be wrong.
