Noone expected a dark video (and era) for such a cheerful song. This was also the start of alienating the GP with the very weird imagery and strong equaity message (unfortunately). For me this was the start of my favorite era ever. Gaga took the risks, and strenghtened her legacy in pop music. Yeah, and the skeleton girl is iconic. No one else would dare to make such a freaky music video except for Gaga. Applaud!
