What is the most important part of a Gaga "Era"?

Mid-era.

Her lead singles are always going to get people talking, she's always going to promote the hell out of them - but what she really needs to get on top of is the ones that come after the album release.

Ideally, with the next era, she'd accompany the 2nd single with the Telephone finale and promote the hell out of it more than the first. Then follow that up with a video made by a team of absolute professionals. And the tracks must be sublime.

Consistency (in terms of musical sound, regular singles/videos and her fashion). That's why BTW is my fave era. <3

Everything is equally as important imo, as long as the promo and marketing is executed well and there are no delays. Which is sadly, the complete opposite of what the ARTPOP era was. :awkney:

A consistent and flowing concept, if you look at her 3 most successful eras they all made sense and logically went from single to single alongside having epic performances to compliment the overall idea of the album. Her opus in my opinion was Paparazzi as the main flashbulb of the Fame era and what it meant, when she was on she was truly on. I think that was her greatest issue with ARTPOP and whether that was due to a messy concept that was discussed or internal with her team we may never truly know.

I will never understand how ARTPOP's theme is messy or hard to understand. It's her best along with BTW. I don't even see how TFM was dark. :awkney:

I say the MUSIC. That's bottom line the most important thing.

Secondly is The Tour.

Thirdly the music videos.

Everything else is just bonuses.

Promo and a good image

How about music? :awkney:

This thread just proves almost everyone on this site is obsessed with Gaga's image in the GP's eyes and give 0 f--ks about the actual music. :lmao: :lmao:

Visuals for TFM were more expressed in performances and single/promo photos in my opinion. The concept as a whole has just been severely butchered from where it was likely going to originate due to all the problems she had throughout it, the concept makes sense but wasn't executed in the same way her previous 'eras' were. The treatment for her original VMA Applause performance screamed what she saw this becoming but that was nerfed by the powers that be in a multitude of ways as a quick example, just my opinion though obviously.

Yes the original 2012 ARTPOP concept was scrapped but the new concept works just as well. This era she also re-enforced the reverse warholian experience (art into pop) with her visuals.

I made a thread about it all recently. Here's the link if you wanna check it out. :p

The music and tour in support of it.  Sometimes the latter brings  a song to life.  I have never cared for Donatella, but live she rocks that song.
