Poll: Barack Obama worst President since WWII

Yeah. There are so many people I personally know that voted for him that regret it. I don't think he's the worst president ever like this poll says, but he promised way too many things to get elected and now everyone is turning against him. It's predictable and in the end it will just end up hurting his party.

I agree with you completely. But, as politics go, it'll happen again with the next president and the one after him and so on and so forth. The problem with America is that people want hand outs & an easy way out. People in this country don't want to work and earn their money and possessions (for the most part). They hear certain key words and jump on it thinking their lives will be better with whatever is the easiest way out. No one wants to do the research on the politicians, no one wants to ask questions and fact check and fight and stand up when things go wrong in Washington. It's not just liberals either, conservatives are just as guilty. It's sickening that people just don't care. It leads to corruption and the loss of rights and democracy. Politicians know this and play on this and feed off of it. It's sad.

Politicians lie really often though... You cant ever truly trust them. Their promises are usually empty promises. It's up to the people to think: 'what? How's he going to do that?' and think whether it's actually reachable.

Yeah, it's sad. This is why I try my best to keep up with news and do some research on politicians that are up for election. When the presidential elections come in 2016 I'll make sure I know exactly who I'm voting for since this will be my first time voting.

And you're right about the handouts. People flock to any politician that promises them an easier life.

Asking the majority of the American public to actually THINK about who they're voting for is like asking me to walk on water :smh:

This is the problem.

I wouldn't consider Americans lazy, though...

The average working person in the US works 38 hours a week, compare that to the avg of 25 hours in my country :emma: and people here consider other countries lazy, because their productivity (which is mostly deependent on stuff like infrastructure) is lower :emma:

Yeah, the norm is 40 hours a week. From 9-5 every single week day. I'd like to move to the Netherlands to only have to work 25 hours lol.

Is it a coincidence that the numbers in this poll of Americans who believe that Obama was the worst president since WWII sync up pretty evenly with the number of Americans who believe that our planet is a few thousand years old? Hmm...

I'd sooner trust the political opinions of the stray cat who vomits on my front steps every morning then I would trust the political opinions of a random sampling of Americans.

Americans are very lazy. If a politician were to stand up and promise welfare checks and free housing and a free car and a free cellphone to everyone who voted for them they'd easily win the election. Many, many Americans hate working and trying to make a living. For one, it's hard to do - work a job, take care of a family, etc. But also, people just don't like to do it. I don't see what the deal is. I'll be 21 in a couple of weeks and I love going to work and while I'd rather spend my paychecks frivolously, having a car note and bills to pay makes me feel that I'm accomplishing something I ought to be proud of.

I wonder if the fact that he's African American has anything to do with these results America :spin:

America voted him to be President though, lol.

He is not the best but he was the best option. This poll is crap and anyone who really thinks that he is the worst president should leave the country now.

It's great that you love your job and love working, but you can't make a sweeping generalization about an entire nation's population based solely on your own personal experiences. Not enjoying one's job doesn't make one lazy. Millions of people hate their jobs but do them anyway in order to survive. I would think that is the opposite of lazy.

Also, you're neglecting one important factor: the desire to reap many valuable benefits from minimal effort is part of human nature. Hell, that's one of the main reasons for so many technological advancements: they make our lives more convenient.

But don't get me wrong -- I do get what you're saying. I know that there are plenty of people in the U.S. who are looking only for a free handout -- and believe me, I *do* know, as my mom works with many people like that.

Agreed throughout, but the bolded part is extremely true.

its obvious that most voted for obama because he's black! Half of the people who voted for obama are probably Redneck-Mcdonalds eating-oxygen tank-christians!  I mean! Bush was far worst than obama! like seriously? ugh!  :crossed: I hate politics!

Now that's a laugh. At least he had enough sense to not pre-emptively declare "mission accomplished" with an accompanying banner w/o accomplishing anything :fan:
