River 127,557 Posted August 27, 2014 Share Posted August 27, 2014 is there an outspoken opposition to what has happened and to the government equally represented in the israeli media? you wouldn't get that impression if you read the comments from israelis on the internet about this whole fiasco. Unfortunately the opposition in Israel is really weak, and almost have no power against the government. Also, when they speak they get a lot of bad comments like traitors, go to die in gaza and all this mess.. Since yesterday the bad comment go directly to the government, people feel like they were left behind, and want Bibi to go away.. please don't take the bad comments as what all the israelis thinks.. it's the minority that doing all the noise.. and I'm against it like many other israelis. It's all about opinions..There is no country or region that has %100 approval of the leadership. Unless you count Iran as a country because opposition to the Ayatolla gets their head cut off... like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. And there is just so many people that got expelled by force during different times; there was no UN back then ^^ You are wrong, the term arab is very misleading; arabs are probably those who live in the semi island of arabia, many who are considered Arabs are actually not arabs (arab#muslim): Modern Egyptians are well related to the ancient ones, with an arab component, but still they are.And DNA studies proved that! But hey, if you deny that the ancient Egyptians who built one of the biggest civilisations that has ever existed, a multimillion population that didn't leave its original land were extinct......what can we say about the kingdom of Israel which lasted only a few centuries at most? If you don't deny Roma then why are you still arguing over Jewish existence in Israel as if they left by choice? What the hell? Palestinians are not Arabs because they are not living the in Arabian peninsula? Are you sure you're familiar with the ME? :eek: Modern Egyptians were influenced by wars and immigration from the Middle East, Sub-Sahara, North Africa and Southern Europe (Macedonia, Greece). They are different from Ancient Egyptians by the fact they see themselves as Arabs. You're so sure that Jews got mixed with everyone else through these years but you can't think of any change taking place in Egypt. Hamas demanded Qatar and Turkey to manage the negotiations. Hamas demanded Air & Sea ports. Hamas demanded money to pay its soldiers. Hamas got none of those. Gaza is damaged as hell because of its reckless behavior, Arab countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia are siding by Israel and it got a cold shoulder from its old ally, Assad. PA and other foreign forces will be responsible for border-crossing points from now on. Israel managed to handle rockets threat with the Iron Dome and destoryed all of the tunnels I believe. How is that even possible. :roll: Again, I did not deny Roma, and I did not deny Jewish existence in Israel, and I did not that jews (like many other people) got expelled by force in different regions/times. And yes, Palestinians like many other "arab" people are not really totally from arab origin. Most of them are descendant from the old people that lived in the levant, or settled there at one time or another (even before arab conquest). Yes, the middle east is melting pot, but it's completely wrong to think all of them (or the majority) are originally from Arabia. DNA research showed that Egypt has strong ties with north Africa (as well as the ME, naturally), you probably also consider that north africans are Arabs too, which is not true. They are actually amazighs, though they speak arabic and many of them might even identify as arab! Of course people mix, and I didn't say that modern egyptians are 100% identical to the ancient ones.
