Gaga wrote like 80-90% of the song and she loves to give credit to those who contributed to the song.

No one in the thread said "gaga is the only who writes all her songs." Literally NO ONE said that.

And I am sorry but even Rihanna's producers and writers said that she comes in the studio, they play her a demo and if she likes it she covers it. Rihanna doesn't write lyrics, and Katy barely does. Go ask Bonnie Mckee.

you just don't know what happened in the studio. don't act like.

i'm sure a lot of pop artists wrote their own songs

how do you know she is ?

Gaga's producers from each album have all stated that she writes the lyrics, She also helps with the melodies, harmonies amd arrangements on the majority of her songs.

You can see that some artists need other professional songwriters (ones well known in the music industry) to help them write their lyrics. Then there are others, like Gaga and Adele, who don't use these types of professional lyricists on their albums. I'm sure than are many other artists like this...simply named two I knew to be in this category.   :)

I surely don't know what happens in the studio, but their respective producers and writers do and they have revealed in the past that they barely write lyrics.

What the ****? You're still saying they wrote their own songs when the singer's employees themselves say they don't.

Katy has several professional songwriters listed on most of her songs. Rihanna has a team that writes all her songs. She may put in a line, to get listed as a co-writer, but she mostly just goes in the studio and records what they give her. Not sure about Madonna, but I thought she wrote her lyrics...or at least most of them. Gaga writes the large majority of her lyrics.

Then who the hell is; Dino Zisis,  Nick Monson,  Martin Bresso,  Nicolas Mercier,  Julien Arias,  William Grigahcine etc

That continually appear throughout the album, even on her most personal songs like Dope. Just because her team of co-writers are less known and not Max Martin/ Dr Luke, people seem to unfairly overlook them and give them less credit...

But factually ARTPOP and PRISM have pretty much have the same amount of co-writers and producers. I just find it interesting that people have this attitude. Katy could very well be contributing just as much or even more as gaga. Just because her music is more accessible dosent make her some puppet. Maybe it is her choice...

She's not. Otherwise, she wouldn't have at least two professional music industry song-writers (lyrics) listed on most of her songs. She wouldn't need them.

The co-writers on Gaga's songs are DJs and people who have contributed to the melody and overall production, not lyricists. These people don't write lyrics for artists.

i'm not saying that at all. i'm saying that gaga is not special when it comes to write songs, many many others do too. the argument ''at least gaga write all her songs'' is simply stupid since a lot of other singers write their own songs too. don't act like she's the special and unique one out there. it's just mainstream stuff.

Yeah sure but saying "At least Gaga writes her own songs" is normal to say since we are comparing her to people right now huge in the music industry, which include Rihanna and Katy who do not write their own songs.

Look them up! Go ahead...you will see that they are not lyricists! They are DJs, Synths, and Sound Engineers.

Fernando Garibay said once that she's given people writing credits for changing one word in a song so I don't think she gives herself too much credit there at all. Also with production, even if it was an already made beat, there's still changes to be made to it and I'm sure that she's involved in that process. You only have to look at what people who have worked with her say about her to know that she's completely involved in everything in regards to her work.

You can tell by her lyrics that she writes the song, there's a certain style to them which you wouldn't get if the songs were by contributed to by a great amount by multiple different producers.

Dino Zisis

One-half of Chicago-based house music production duo Soundpusher (with Scott Gerbosi), Zisis is also adept as a rock guitarist. His non-Soundpusher credits in mainstream music only include working on Lady Gaga’s album.

Nick Monson

A producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist, Monson worked with R. Kelly at the turn of the century on TP-2.com, along with more soul credits with Keke Wyatt, the O’Jays and the Isley Brothers. His work on ARTPOP is as a composer of synthesizer, bass and rhythm guitar arrangements.

William Grigahcine

DJ Snake (born William Grigahcine in 1986) is a producer, Disc Jockey based out of Paris.
