LaLuna 12,732
As Gaga fans, I know we're all excited for the release of Cheek to Cheek in September. But do you think jazz aficionados will be interested in a duet album with Lady Gaga? I know that Tony has recorded many duets throughout his career. I may be wrong, but for some reason I'm not sure that jazz fans are interested in an album that features Lady Gaga on every track. It's just that Tony and Gaga's audiences are pretty much polar opposites, and while most monsters welcomed the idea of a jazz album with open arms, I don't know if Tony's fans will be as thrilled by a Tony & Gaga album as we are. Duets II did pretty well, but then again, there were other artists featured on that album, not just Gaga, and most of these artists were a lot more likely to appeal to Tony's audience (like Michael Bublé and Josh Groban for example). Or maybe it just doesn't make any difference that Gaga is on the album because at the end of the day, it's still jazz, not pop/EDM. I guess I'm just really curious to see how the album will be received by non-Gaga fans and people who aren't into pop music. What do you guys think? Will Tony's fans be here for Cheek to Cheek? Applause 650
Depends on the quality of the cheeks. We all know her cheeks are high quality. But really, I am buying it. One of the main reasons I love Gaga is her voice. I'd love her voice probably in any genre of music. I have so far. Xalser

Microscope 710
I believe that people will be curious at first and listen to it online and read reviews before buying it. Unlike monsters who rushed to the stores the second ARTPOP was on the shelves. Take my hand. Stay, Joanne.
ryhanna 3,507
Actually, I think the fact that Tony Bennett was willing to make a full album with Gaga will make jazz fans want to check it out. Gaga's not really known for jazz, obviously, so I think the reactions will be more "wow, really? I kind of want to hear this" rather than being dismissive. elijahfan 26,298
Jazz aficionados may not be as close-minded as you'd think. Life outside pop fanbases can be surprising ;)
Guest
If his fans liked their previous work on The Lady is a Tramp, then I'm sure they'll give it a try.
