I'm a little surprised that they chose to open with that scene, I thought they'd lead up to it, but I suppose it sets the tone for the rest of the game quite nicely. And, gah, Nine is wonderful. I love Amano's wispy watercolor paintings a lot more than Nomura's anime style; it wasn't until 7 that characters started having abnormally spiky hair and giant cartoon eyes.
